The Old Stables cabin

Liked: Very nice and helpful management. Clean facilities. Comfortable area to travel around. Very clean water in hot tube. Toilets and drinking water very close.

Disliked: Personal opinion: hot tub is electric one so you can't heat it up as much as you want. And it's turning on 8am and switching off 11pm.

The Old Stables cabin

Liked: We had a fantastic time here - we stayed in the Old Stables cabin; it was beautifully decorated and set up with a nice decking area, sun-loungers, and a convenient separate kitchen cabin. We especially loved the hot-tub. Everything was well thought out and the shared toilet/ shower/ washing up facilities were clean and well maintained. The site was quiet and picturesque and the management were very friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do in the local area, we travelled to Hunstanton for a seaside day trip (50 mins away) but we could have easily found things to do closer to the site. Perfect for families with children, there is also a play area, waffle/ ice cream kiosk and ice cream van which visits the site. Would highly recommend!

Local attractions

While you're staying here, make sure to take a peek at Peckover House and Garden (10 minutes' drive), an 18th-century country estate in the gorgeous Isle of Ely area. For a bigger day out, you could also take yourself off to the Sandringham Estate (30 minutes) over the border in Norfolk, where there are 60 acres of landscaped gardens to explore plus extensive rolling parklands. Got birds on the brain? There's a lot of feathered life in this part of East Anglia, so take the opportunity to learn more about it at WWT Welney, a stunning wetland centre home to camouflaged hides where you can spot a range of species. You could also learn how to handle bigger birds of prey at Fens Falconry (15 minutes), a locally run company based on the outskirts of Wisbech. For more family days out, set your satnav in the direction of Church Farm Stow Bardolph (20 minutes), a rare breeds centre with a playground and tea rooms, or drive over to the north Norfolk coast (40 minutes) to splay yourself out on its splendid sandy beaches.
