Electric grass pitch
Liked: Mill Farm is a wonderful place to camp. The pitches are in a very beautiful setting, especially those along the lakeside. I was offered the choice of a few of the electric pitches pitches on arrival and chose the one most tucked away in the corner (31), which gave me a beautiful view down the lake.
The further lakes to the west of the camping area can be walked around freely, with well mowed paths between them and lovely woodlands and fabulous wet meadow on a natural meander of Suffield Beck (before the neck is essentially canalised to feed the multiple lakes and run through the site). There are a handful of pairs each of mute swans, greylag geese and Canada geese. This creates a bit of poo obviously but it's mainly concentrated to a couple of areas on the pathways so it's easy to pick your way around it. Lots of more dainty birdlife is present, I wasn't lucky enough to see a kingfisher but the habitat is ideal so they will be there, somewhere.
The whole place is a wildlife haven. I was kept awake at night by muntjacs barking just beyond the hedgerow behind me, and woken early by the dawn chorus and I loved it!
As far as facilities go they were kept clean and more than adequate.
Locally don't miss out on a visit to If Not Now When Community Woodland. It can be walked from the site in about 45 mins. The Banningham Crown is great for food and beer too (and probably other drinks too).
Disliked: The ground up in pitches 29-31 is hard going. It was no doubt made worse by the long spell of dry warm (even hot when I was there) weather, but it would still be a challenge pegging out whatever as the topsoil is very shallow before you hit a solid layer of stones. The grass also struggles there because of the soil and the shade of the hedgerow and mature trees. That said I released this immediately on starting to pitch so could have moved to one of the other pitches I was offered (on what looked like verdant grass on a different part of the site), but I chose to tough it out because of the view and peacefulness of the pitch. And it was worth half a dozen or so bent pegs as a result!

Electric grass pitch
Liked: Just came back from a lovely couple of days staying here…
Really nice little site, clean facilities which are close to pitches.
Bbqs and fire pits available at no extra charge (it’s first come first served) and you can buy some logs from the site.
Theres also a tennis court you can use for free, and free WiFi (connection wasn’t always available)
Really big pitches, lovely walking trails around the lakes and beyond and about 20 minutes to Cromer / Sherringham
Reasonably priced and just really enjoyed it there
You have to stop on the corner in front of the house on arrival (I got confused and drove past it) and the friendly owner gives you a little map and tells you where you can go walking etc
