Roseville Caravan and Camping: Spacious pitches

General

  • Peaceful and scenic site on a Worcestershire working farm
  • A 15-minute drive from Great Malvern; half an hour from Gloucester
  • Located on Castlemorton Common with views over the Malvern Hills

Get yourself a fix of the outdoor life on a family-run farm on Worcestershire's Castlemorton Common – traipse over the Malvern Hills, make for well-preserved Three Counties towns, or just stick around at Roseville Caravan and Camping and watch the animals going about their daily routine.

This site is simple and scenic – with basic facilities like an Elsan point and standpipe – and has stacks of dreamy views over the nearby hills. Walks spotting wildfowl around the gorgeous Golden Valley can be accessed within a few minutes on foot, while tours of Eastnor Castle's grounds are a mere 10 minutes away by car. These (and many other) super strolling spots can be readily explored in canine company, but please keep dogs on leads while on site.

The site's fresh and grassy grounds are kept in fine condition, helped by the fact that sheep are constantly nibbling away in the background. Arrivals and departures are made that little bit easier by a level gravel track that makes life more straightforward for tourers – and indeed anyone not arriving in a four wheel drive.

Roseville Caravan and Camping is within a short walk or drive of four country pubs – the site team will happily point you in the right direction. For a supermarket stop, zip off to Ledbury or Great Malvern (both 15 minutes' drive away).

Please note

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.

This park has no on-site toilet and shower facilities.

Lovely location..you can go straight out from site onto Castlemorton common and walk for miles with no main roads to worry about..sheep roam free so you need to keep a look out when out with dogs..lots of wildlife to catch glimpses of..a couple of large ponds with wildfowl..site owners very welcoming..thank you Caroline..who even booked a table for us at local pub..mobile phone signal drops in places but in general ok..basic facilities at site (no shower/toilet) but that is mentioned in description of site and for ourselves not a problem as full facilities in our motorhome..it's a working farm but still has quite times.. definitely recommend to friends and family and will return ourselves.

Everything. Absolutely loved it here. Me, my partner and our 12 year old. Very welcoming and 20 steps away and you are free to wonder for miles. Loved watching the sheep on site (they even seemed to have a calming effect on our dog). Pitch size great (on hardstanding, with grass on the side). Perfect site for walking from or just chilling at. Caroline was so nice and helpful and we met a lovely couple there which always makes for a nicer time.
It is made very clear that there are no toilets, showers or wi-fi and we still survived!
The cherry on the cake was the Robin Hood pub beer, food and great service. (A mile(ish) away which can be done over fields or by road).
We will be going back soon.

Local attractions

Equestrian competitions, produce shows, flea markets and motor rallies are just a few of the events you can catch at the Three Counties Showground (10 minutes' drive), a rip-roaring rural venue that's well worth checking out. This site's also a nifty base for trips to Welland (five minutes), where once a year in late July some of the country's top traction engines come together and puff their stuff at the Welland Steam Rally.

Next, trundle down to Eastnor Castle (10 minutes), a lavishly landscaped estate with a maze, lake and arboretum. Other grand outdoorsy jaunts are to be had at the Brockhampton Estate (35 minutes), an older medieval manor encircled by 700 acres of woodland.

History is also thick on the ground in nearby cathedral cities like Gloucester (30 minutes) and Hereford (40 minutes), while strolls around Ledbury's half-timbered houses (20 minutes) make for an equally ace afternoon. Need some ents to please the tiddlers? Hands-on days out at Newbridge Farm Park (20 minutes) are on offer just to the east of Ledbury; a trip to take a dip at Great Malvern leisure centre (15 minutes) is a good shout too.

Must see

  • Eastnor Castle (4.2 kilometres)
  • Malvern Hills (8.8 kilometres)
  • Tewkesbury Abbey (12.4 kilometres)
