A lovely soft grassy pitch with simple but clean facilities. All very easy going.

    Disliked:

The gates are very squeaky :-). Made me feel very guilty making a noise when heading to the facilities in the middle of the night! We also made the mistake of camping here during the Sunshine Festival in Upton so not a very quiet night! However this is absolutely beyond the control of the campsite owners.

From the manager...

if this is the case why did you not come and complain and ask for your money back and go and stay else where , I would have been here to great you but you did not have the manners to let me know your appox time of arrival ,this is what people usually do ,so had to leave after waiting and waiting, as we needed food for clients ,leaving my very sick husband to show you were to go

Farm atmosphere, locality to Upton and surrounding areas. Visit from a little four legged friend was a bonus on the morning we were leaving. I grew up camping in the local area in fields with basic amenities so it was perfect for us. Plenty of space for children to roam in the camping field too. Will stay longer next year.

Farm easy to find and access. No problem with the field - nice soft grass. Facilities old but clean and good. Our children, aged 9 and 6, loved the owner's two small, well-behaved, dogs.

    Disliked:

When we booked we were told there were only 7 more pitches available. When we arrived on the Friday pm, we were totally alone! 3 other tents, related to each other, arrived on Saturday. The field will hold at least 20 pitches.

We found the showers (two) and toilets (three) enough for our needs, but would expect queueing difficulties had the camp had many more people.

(This is neither like or dislike but a comment) On arrival we rang the house bell and were met by an elderly woman who ticked us off on her list, thus welcoming us. This was the first and last we saw of her. The only other person we met was a young lad who led two horses out to an adjoining field. If, like us, you are totally independent, then this could be the camp for you.

Local attractions

Follow an hour or two among the shops and old buildings on Upton Upon Severn with a pub or restaurant lunch before a further wander along the river and the surrounding village meadows. There are also boat rides at different times to Tewkesbury in Worcester: take a look at the town's medieval streets and 12th-century Tewkesbury Abbey (rather fab).

National Trust properties, Capability Brown gardens and historic houses are plentiful in the region too, like Croome Park, Worcester Cathedral and the Great Malvern Priory.

For walks and bike rides, take to the Malvern Hills as well as the many lanes and cycle routes locally, while if you fancy a showy activity or an event, the Three Counties Showground runs stuff regularly throughout the year.

Additional terms

The camping field is ridge and farrow (a very old farming method) hence, not flat all over.

Be aware that you will be staying on a working farm. If the fields are wet due to the weather, the site team asks that you park your vehicle on the hardstanding where you will be provided with a wheel barrow to take your possessions to where you would like to pitch. Remember your Wellington boots.

Due to location, the speed of the wifi is slow and range is minimal. Chairs and table are set outside the house on the lawn for you to use if you are unable to get a signal on your pitch.

Shepherd's hut : dogs are welcome but must sleep outside.

The use of shower is free for guests staying in the shepherd's hut.
