  • Luxury glamping site on a Staffordshire family farm attraction
  • On-site play barn, petting farm, restaurant, butchers and farm shop
  • Outdoor kitchen and hot showers, plus all-weather activities on site
Hoping for a proper rural break with plenty of comfort? When you stay at Poppy Fields Glamping in Staffordshire, you get exactly that. Set on the grounds of Amerton Farm & Billy's Farm Barn, the luxury glamping site is in the countryside between Stafford and Uttoxeter, which, by the way, are only 15 minutes' drive away in opposite directions. The first thing you need to know about this glamping site is that it is (very conveniently) on the grounds of a family farm attraction with a kids' play barn, a petting farm, a restaurant, a farm shop, butchers and an ice cream shop. The attraction hosts artisan businesses that run creative workshops, meaning that there are activities no matter the weather. The family-friendly glamping units all come with luxury linens and towels, eco-friendly toiletries and electricity. When your tummy starts to rumble, there's your very own barbecue to cook on, and tea and coffee supplies for a quick refreshment while you let the sausages sizzle. A communal kitchen is also on hand, along with shared outdoor (but under-cover) seating and a shared firepit. Communal hot showers and toilets are also provided. Not so keen on alfresco cooking? Remember, there's always the restaurant at Amerton Farm. Otherwise, you may want to take a short five-minute drive to Hixon or Weston (this one's also within walking distance). Alton Towers is half an hour's drive away for a full day out, and Essex Bridge is 10 minutes' drive away for wild swimming alongside the longest remaining packhorse bridge in England.

Tallulah bell tent

Liked: My partner and I went away for 3 nights here for my birthday and it was incredible, clean and well thought out facilities, gorgeous tent and set up, the location is lovely and homely with some great assets in the local area, the local shop, the cheese locker, and the Infinitii Indian restaurant were great. Natalie and Ross left us a little booklet of reccomendations and that was super helpful. The bed was super warm and comfortable, with plenty of spare blankets in case we needed them. Natalie and Ross were the most fabulous hosts, super friendly and charming and left us to enjoy the peace of the tallulah belle tent, while being super quick to help with any queries or questions. The facilties are wonderful, a great shower and bathroom set-up, kitchen with all needed utensils and an added bonus of a nespresso machine. We even were left a bottle of bubbly and some biscuits from the local area which was a lovely surprise, alongside the usual milk, coffee, sugar, tea. There is also a firepit which we happily spent the nights around and a BBQ for those who might want to cook. I cannot say enough nice things about this stay, I would 100% reccomend to anyone who wanted a bit of peace, luxury and privacy away from it all. Thank you so much for having us!
