Local attractions

The village of Woodhall Spa, close to The Railway Hotel Caravan Site, is a pretty and placid little place and well worth a wander to see its mineral springs, Kinema in the Woods and Manor House. The Pinewoods wood in the centre of the village is popular with wanderers; to its west, Woodhall's Jubilee Park has a heated outdoor pool, tennis courts, a playground, croquet and grounds for croquet and cricket. Lovely Lincoln is about 14 miles from The Railway: head here for the splendid cathedral, Lincoln Castle, Medieval Bishop's Palace, and, if you're a museum or curious type, the two million or so items of The Collection housed near the Usher Gallery. Also have a look at old market town Boston and its St Botolph's Church or the Stump, or make for the seaside for a day at Skegness or birdwatching and seal spotting at the Gibraltar Point and Donna Nook nature reserves.
