A neat, tranquil spot with welcoming hosts, Pam & Kieran. Spacious, serviced pitches. New showers, covered washing-up. Short walk to Spilsby's shops. Fishing on five lakes. Goose droppings & midges noted. Highly recommended, many plan to return.

Fully-serviced gravel touring caravan pitch

Liked This is a lovely little site .
We had a lovely pitch looking out onto the lake..
The toilet block was immaculately clean.
Central for Skegness.. ingomels.. chapel St Leonards etc. We had a few days out and about.
We didn't try the fishing but there was always someone out there and it seemed popular.
The owners were super friendly knowledgeable and always on hand to help. And very kind thank you.
Would love to visit again.

Fully-serviced gravel motorhome pitch

Liked Just back from 5 nights at Woodlands and we can’t wait to go back. From the minute we arrived until the minute we left Pam and Kieran made you feel very welcome and always happy to stop and have a chat to make sure everything was ok. The pitches are flat and have their own water tap. There are 5 lakes to choose from so perfect if you like to fish, little tackle shop on site as well. The little village of spilsby is just a 10 minute stroll up the road, with some nice pubs that did food and a Sainsbury’s for supplies. Plus you can pick up the bus here for Skegness . The site overall is well laid out and the facilities are lovely and clean. We will be booking again

Local attractions

Drive north for a few minutes and you’ll reach the Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape, a lovely area for walks among low hills. If you’re more of a stroller than a hiker, maybe you’d prefer a wander around one of the local heritage attractions – with a drive of 10 minutes you can get to either the ruins of 13th-century Bolingbroke Castle (birthplace of Henry IV) or the grander Gunby Estate, Hall and Gardens, with walled gardens, elaborate interiors and a rather nice tea room. For a different kind of history, head to Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre (10 minutes’ drive), which has exhibits about World War II Bomber Command including a Lancaster bomber. Fancy some sea air? It’s a 20-minute drive to Skegness for a walk along the beach, a go on the rides at the amusement park and a visit to Natureland Seal Sanctuary. A little way south of the town, Gibraltar Point (25 minutes’ drive) is a popular location for birdwatchers; you might also spot seals here sometimes.
