  • Kids’ haven: pleasure pier, aquarium and theme park within 10 mins
  • Miniature golf, pitch and putt, tennis, bowls and arcade
Banish any visions of a stressy holiday stuck in hot cars and slow traffic out of your head… At North Shore Holiday Centre, a family-friendly Lincolnshire site 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Skegness, you won’t have to travel far to stay busy once you arrive. North Shore is on the outskirts of Skegness, and there’s plenty of seaside resorty things to do within easy reach of the site: the sandy beach, pier and town centre are all within walking distance, and you’ll have to drive for less than 15 minutes to get to the museum, nature reserve, aquarium or theme park. There’s tons to keep you busy on site too: play a round of miniature golf, perfect your end-game at the nine-hole pitch and putt, have a go at bowls or boules, try out the arcade games and go game-set-match on the tennis courts. Feeling peckish? There are oodles of eateries within 25 minutes’ walk of North Shore, or you can settle in for a meal on site – call in to the fully-licensed bar-restaurant, then stick around for the evening’s entertainment.

What customers say

A neat, tidy spot with lekker staff. Close to Skegness town & beach. Facilities are decent, but showers need a bit of a spruce-up. Good for families & dogs, though evening entertainment & play areas could be better. Metered electricity might be a bit much for some.

AW fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked The proximity to the beach & the pitch & put pub was the only thing going for this site unfortunately. The food was amazing & the site was within walking distance to the beach. There was plenty of entertainment, however, the bingo calling was far too loud, you couldn't hear the person next to you when dining at the furthest point from the bingo calling. Staff were friendly. On site shop had everything we needed.

Disliked This was our first & last time of coming to this site unfortunately. The toilet block (there only seemed to be one) was large enough to handle the amount of guests, however, despite going in there straight after they mopped the floors, there was still poop on most of the toilet seats. It was actually quite filthy. I have attached a photo of one of the toilets & it was the cleanest one! The pitches were very unlevel & the hook up points were one per four pitches, which meant that the points ended up being on the wrong side of the caravan for half of the pitches so before we could do anything we had to spend £77 getting extension cables & extension water hoses. Charge for dogs & awnings even though these are things that the site does not need to cover on insurance. Purely there to maximise profit as they certainly weren't used to keep up with the cleanliness of the site. Were far too packed in, too many pitches close together.

24 foot electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Location great. Short walk to beach and town centre. Quick bus ride to fantasy island. Showers spotless.

Disliked Food on site. Loaded chips dished up in bowls that they were cooked in. Could only eat half as the other half was burnt to the bowl! Quite tasty though.

Electric grass touring caravan pitch

Liked The Pitch was perfect plenty of space, close to amenities as requested.. showers/washroom etc were clean and warm,
No complaints at all.

Disliked As for the club house (pitch n put) drinks were very expensive ie:1-1/2 pints of lager £9’50. Shocking!
And the food we ordered was served with in 10mins. Obviously all microwaved and very expensive.

24 foot electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Location, 10min walk to beach, 20min walk to town. The onsite bar/restaurant was also very good and dog friendly. The toilets/showers were always clean and the onsite Spar shop was handy to pick up some breakfast items.

Disliked Not really a dislike but the pitches are a little close together but enough room for motorhome and awning.

24 foot electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Had a few days stay here. It's probably the closest camping area to skegness centre, I'd say realistically it's a 15min walk into the center but only 5 minutes to the nearest pubs, shops and takeaways which was what we wanted as I like to have amenities to walk to.
The holiday park itself was great. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. Really liked the 2 guys who were cleaning the shower blocks on a morning. They were very friendly and accommodating and probably don't get enough recognition for what they do. There were plenty of cubicles and showers too which was great.
The areas are clearly marked on the map and are easy to find. The pub on site is a great addition.
Lovely site with the location being the best advantage.

Disliked Some dog users didn't clean up their mess which was quite frustrating but not the holiday centres fault. Also found the WiFi hard to access despite following the instructions

Local attractions

Any stay at North Shore Holiday Centre should start with a thorough exploration of Skegness as there are loads of places within five minutes’ drive you’re going to want to add to the list. Kids will want to dive into the aquarium, the fairground and the brightly lit amusements of the pleasure pier, while grownups might have more appreciation for the Naturelands seal sanctuary or The Village, Church Farm open-air museum. Want something for everyone? The entire family should be entertained with trips to Fantasy Island theme park (in nearby Ingoldmells), the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway and the stock car and bangers racing at Skegness Raceway, all within 10 minutes of the site. When you want to take your adventuring beyond the bounds of the seaside town, you can find peace 15 minutes away from the thrill rides and squealing tyres with visits to Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve or the flat Lincolnshire Wolds for cycling and walking trails, or by making a pitstop at the spectacular Gunby Hall and Gardens for a taste of splendour. For a quirkier outing, make your way a little further afield for a night at the Kinema in the Woods, believed to be the only full-time cinema in the UK still using rear projection for screenings. Screen one is home to an organ covered in 18th-century-style lacquered consoles and screen two has trompe l’oeil-style paintings of rural Lincolnshire on its walls. Don’t worry – the cinema may be old-fashioned, but the movies aren’t…
