The peacefulness of site
The toilet / shower block
Disliked: Wi-Fi kept dropping
No motorhome grey waste or clean water dumping facilities and not advised at booking would need a wastemaster. If brought our wastemaster it would have been impossible to lift to tip into the toilet provided for grey waste.
Chemical waste was a toilet which was away from the hose located at the grey waste so to use you ended up wet through and covered in clay!
No control in place over motorhome or van position meaning we couldn’t put our awning up as it would have almost touched the MH next to us who drove onto pitch not reversed.
Allowed other MH’s to move to a non pitch next to us because of dogs barking (never heard dogs bark) but did hear the moved MH owners out looking for their dog at 1.30 am as it had got out, this MH was permitted to park sideways making it extremely close to our pitch.
Advised owners would come and see us upon arrival or next day, this didn’t happen which is a shame it would have been lovely to meet them and ask a few questions that were not detailed on the notice board.

Liked: A very peaceful and well kept site. All facilities are new as the site hasn’t been open long. Great walks from the site, and The Hollybush pub is a nice place for food and drink.
Disliked: Unfortunately the wind was blowing in the wrong direction and the aeroplanes were flying overhead from as early as 4.45am

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked: This is a new, small site, which only opened in April. It’s lovely & clean with our preferred (level) gravel & grass type pitches - as well as camping areas. It’s set in a gorgeous field, some of which has been planted up with saplings & there’s a great dog walking area too. A lot of attention is paid to conserving the wildlife & so you don’t feel you’ve been plonked on a boring hard standing & forgotten about. Amazing views & fantastic walks, taking in the countryside & the local history. We would definitely stay here again.
Disliked: Not a dislike - but worth a mention. It’s a perfect site for those visiting Donnington circuit, however, on race days you can hear the very distant thrumming of engines. It’s not loud enough to cause a disturbance though & my guess is, you wouldn’t hear it at all if the wind was blowing the other way! However, maybe just check - we didn’t realise that it was the super-bike-champion ship whilst we were there! Seriously though, hardly worth a mention.
