‘You won’t have to bring a thing’ is the promise of the folk behind Herefordshire’s luxurious Stargazer Glamping – and it’s a promise they fulfil splendidly (although you will still need to bring your own clothes and all that…) Personal items aside, you can afford to turn up to this fabulous Wye Valley setting (in the grounds of a gorgeous Georgian country pile, no less) with very little by way of luggage. What’s provided here covers everything from little touches like toiletries to much bigger things like telescopes, which can be provided upon request (and that request is a very good idea, given that the area’s dark skies are excellent for stargazing). Each of the glamping units here is in its own private space in the mature gardens and woods behind the house, so you’ll have plenty of space from which to view those stars, or the often-spectacular sunsets, or simply gaze out at the mountain and valley views. You’ll also want to take a wander around the gardens for a look at the orchards, the rose walk and the veg/herb gardens. And it’s not just that everything’s provided… it’s also that everything provided is of the highest quality. Showers are full of piping-hot water, chopping knives are sharp and non-bendy, saucepans are unbattered and dining will be on solid wood tables with matching crockery and glassware. The luxury touches don’t stop there, of course… guests also have access to hammocks and sun loungers to relax in, a pizza oven, a huge firepit and an honesty bar stocked with drinks. And the ultimate luxury… there’s also a private hot tub for every unit…
