Great spot near Hereford city centre and the River Wye, perfect for walks. Staff are super friendly and facilities are clean. Good value, though some note nearby road noise and a lack of electric hook-ups. A few found loos/showers a bit dated. Most would return!

Liked Site was very close to Hereford Cathedral and walking along the river.

Disliked My son found the men’s shower area not nice as a young teenager he found the area very intimidating, the ladies shower room lovely as we had cubicles it was a shame the men’s area was open and not the same as the women’s.

Liked Excellent location - for the city, and for cycling out into Herefordshire - almost next to national cycle route 46. The facilities were always spotless, and although there were plenty of people camping they were never busy. Didn't mind the communal men's showers - they were clean, had endless amounts of very warm water, and no queue.

Disliked The camper-van units in particular appeared quite close together - I was in a small tent on the edge - and I would not have wanted a longer stay, or to be there with my family.

Liked Really nice campsite,very close to Hereford town centre showers and toilets were clean. There's a riverside area that looked awesome. A very nice and tidy campsite. Highly recommended

Liked Countryside feel, being next to the river, near to the town - excellent location.

Disliked Nothing - toilets were up some steps so could be challenging for the less mobile.

Liked Location, guy who checked us in was lovely. Shower had great pressure and was clean.

Disliked Communal showers (men) and staff smoking on the staircase right outside ladies toilet door. No EHU

This splendid setting close to the cathedral city of Hereford has it within a short stroll of many top Herefordshire attractions including Hereford Cathedral and the spectacular Mappi Mundi; Hereford Museum and Art Gallery; the Black and White Houses museum and the Hereford Cider Museum, all under 10 minutes' walk away. The Courtyard theatre and arts centre is within 15 minutes' walk. More top Herefordshire attractions a little further afield include the villages of the acclaimed Black and White Trail, a 40-mile circular trail around the county's half-timbered houses. The trail starts and finishes in the town of Leominster, well worth a potter around before or after the drive for its antiques and collectables (Weobley, Eardisland, Pembridge and Dilwyn are all top spots for pitstops). The gardens, parkland and 15th-century house of Hampton Court are 10 miles way, in the village of Hope under Dinmore, near Leominster. There's also the handsome riverside market town of Ross-on-Wye 14 miles away, above the Wye and with access to the Wye valley, the Forest of Dean and the popular village and famed viewpoint of Symonds Yat. Within 20 miles, browse the antique shops and many bookshops of Hay-on-Wye: buying a tome here is very much a must.
