Lovely woodland spot, owners are ace and pitches are big. Peaceful vibe, great for walks, and they've got the basics covered. No showers, but it's advertised. Most love it and want to come back.

Second time of coming to Bromyard Downs, great camp site with great hosts. Alan & Penny really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We were here last Oct (when they just opened) and to see the amount of hard work they have put in to transform the site is amazing. you know you are on a winner then the people who run the site do so because they really enjoy and believe in what they do.
The site is just off the A44 so as you get close to the site slow right down as you will come around a bend then see the site on the left side if coming from the Worcester direction, this also means there can at times be a bit of road noise, however it really did not bother us at all. There are two parts to the site, with the hardstanding bottom site and the mainly grass top site (we have stay in both now). Really good water points on both sites, with waste disposal, the sites are very well looked after, clean with the grass cut just right. Most pitches have electric hook ups and there are Portaloo available on both site for those tent camping. There are no showers or washing up Facilities as clearly stated. Reception has a good selection of things to do around the area along with maps for local walks
There is a bus stop just outside the main gate, which is handy if like us you are in a motorhome, and there is now an on-site shop, which sell those little bits and bobs that you need. The prices in the shop are very good and NOT a rip off. They also sell gas (£32 for 6kg Calor Gas Bottle) and have an off license and cold drinks available. Fire pits and logs are also for sale for those cave men and women who like a good fire in the evening. There are lots of walks around the area ranging from 3km right the way up to the Bromyard 26km circular walk. Great views from Bromyard Downs over the Herefordshire countryside. Most importantly there are two pubs within walking distance, the pub Live and Let Live is good 50 min walk away going through the back of the campsite through the wooded area, we have not visited this one as it was just too hot in the 30’s.
The second one is the Royal Oak is just across the Downs about 1 mile away, very nice pub with a great pub garden, they have a Pizza Oven outside which is very popular, and the pub has a good menu as well. Checkout the Pork Pies and Scots Eggs in the pub very nice and locally made.

Peaceful, clean, proper rural feel.
Electric optional grass pitch
Liked A warm welcome when we arrived, and ice cream available on site. It was a lovely, peaceful site despite some traffic noise from the nearby main road. However this was not at all disruptive, and come the evening was almost non existent. Plenty of room around the pitches, in a delightful woodland setting. There was ample shade as well as full sun, which we had in abundance.
There are no shower/washing facilities. But this is made clear on the Pitchup website, so not expected. There is a location for waste water disposal and wash down.
Right next door to Brockhampton NT site, and walks straight onto the Downs.
Disliked Nothing.

Liked Lovely well maintained clean site, idyllic for woodland dog walks which was great on such a hot weekend. Charlotte & Alan were very welcoming and answered any questions we had. Charlotte very kindly returned our spare motorhome keys which we’d managed to leave!
Will definitely be returning.

Great site in a lovely area
Electric optional gravel touring pitch
Liked Great site in a lovely area. The site itself is quite small but in a great area and very quiet. If you’re looking for a site with lots of facilities this is not for you.
There is electric hook up and water etc and everything you need and small shop selling the essentials at reception. The owners, Alan and Charlotte were very charming. We only had a quick stay passing through but would definitely stay again.

Wonderful and safe even if you’re a solo traveller.
Electric optional gravel touring pitch
Liked Charlotte went above and beyond with our request for a corner spot due to our anxious dogs were trying to introduce to camping. We had the most perfect spot. Campsite is clean, accommodating, friendly and just idyllic for woodland walks, tranquility and re setting yourself within nature. A bus stop outside too. Definitely returning. Xx
Disliked Nothing to dislike. It clearly states what they don’t have so it gives you chance to prepare. Ie- no showers only one porta loo. It takes time to build up the site so patience is required if you want everything. I like simple things in life but in our motor home we’ve things to ad-lib with.

Many a happy hour sitting by the caravan listening to the many birds singing

Great to have site back on the caravan and campervan network
Electric optional gravel touring pitch
Liked We've been visiting the site for the last 20 + years, 2 years ago we were sad to see the site go from the CAMC network,
Kept checking to see if it would re-open and great news it was taken on by Charlotte and Alan
We visited the site with our friends who had been caravaning for 46 years for their last ever caravan holiday at a place that held so many memories for us.
Caravaning with friends, family, Easter egg hunts, kids playing together around the site, walks on the downs, Hopshed visits, sunsets etc etc.
Charlotte and Alan were very welcoming and chatted throughout our stay.
We will be visiting again and hopefully our freinds will visit us.
Thanks again both for making our stay so enjoyable
