Pepper pot cafe bar

  • Green and spacious park in Gloucestershire
  • Seven miles to Sharpness Canal and Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust
  • On-site café-bar serving breakfast, coffee and lunch
Greenery and space are on the menu at The Pepper Pot Caravan Park near Dursley in Gloucestershire, which is kept tiptop by its on-site and friendly wardens, who live in and are on hand for any advice or help needed by Pepper Potters during their stay. Facilities are well-maintained and in a purpose-built shower and loo block; an indoor washing-up area and a coin-operated washing machine are also on site. But one of the greatest bits about The Pepper Pot Caravan Park? The Pepper Pot Café Bar, a place to get your mitts on traditional breakfasts, fresh coffee, light lunches and children's meals every morning and afternoon. This is a very decent spot to use as a base for exploring Gloucestershire and its surrounds, particularly for those who like their wildlife or historic homes. Two golf clubs are within a quick drive, as is Berkeley Castle (10 minutes' drive away) and the Cattle Country Farm Park (five minutes' drive).

What customers say

A neat, friendly park with great, level pitches. Showers and loos are spotless, the pub's a winner. Handy for the M5, though some traffic noise. Kids/dogs might want more.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Lovely small peaceful site, friendly site manager, homely, toilets always clean, showers hot. Next to the pub - pub garden and bouncy castle/park. Will definately book again if down in that area. Barrier access. Big pitches.

Disliked Small amount of road noise from the M5 but not major enough to worry or complain about. Few car racers at night time on the lane. Not the sites fault, we loved our stay.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Relaxed, friendly welcome, rural location, facilities clean. Lovely pitch with water was a bonus in the 30 plus degrees! Thank you x also great you don’t pay for extra awning and kids!! Too many places are money grabbing. This site felt fair .

Disliked Shame pub isn’t a pub but a cafe now. Be nice to have a cool here in the evening.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Ideally situated near the A38 to visit to Bristol and Gloucester attractions.

First impressions were of a very clean and tidy site, that was tranquil.

The warden was welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay and went over and beyond, to make this holiday a good one.

The Pepper Pot Cafe/Bar was a lovely addition, and staff there were very friendly and welcoming also. The food was reasonable and huge portioned.

I would definitely recommend this site and will return again.

Disliked Nothing.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked Last minute we booked to stay here over the may bank holiday weekend. The camp called before the stay to advise the pitch was small and we were a group of 6. Went for it anyway and so glad we did. The pitch size was more than adequate, the site was clean and tidy. The shower and toilet facilities were clean and suitable. I was aware the site was located by the M5 and train track and this was fine, noise wasn't to bad.

Disliked Whilst this site was clean and tidy and suitable for short stays, I wouldn't advise for longer than a few days. There is a pub next to the site which is where the park was located. The sites location is also a a little out of the way.

Dave L. 1 review

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked This sight is made by the lovely Nikki who runs it, nothing was too much and she went above and beyond. Other reviews mention noise from the motorway yes there is a fairly constant drone but it no way interfered with sleep or stay and it's very easy to zone it out with a bit of chat and plenty of laughter (maybe even a drink). The pub adds another side with lovely friendly welcoming staff, the food looks good and my thanks to them for the retrieval of my phone. Be aware that if you have a dog the walks require a very short walk along a road but only abot 120 meters
Being small the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly
We will return as long as Nikki is handling the place with her magic touch,
