  • Whole Glamping Site: Forest Trails and Tranquility
A warm welcome to Kiln Cabins! Relax and kick back in this low impact meadow glamping site. In total the meadow covers about 1 acre and has a lovely rustic feel. We're popular with walkers, mountain bikers and kayakers. We welcome families with children and well behaved, friendly dogs. Our meadow backs onto local woodland where you can strike out onto abundant local trails. It’s situated on the border of the Forest of Dean and stunning Wye Valley. We invite you to switch off and rejuvenate surrounded by nature. Enjoy a fire pit while gazing at the stars, or savour a coffee or glass of wine on your private balcony. You’ll often see rabbits, birds of prey and other wildlife. The site is in Staunton – a mecca for walking and mountain biking. Outdoor lovers will be spoilt for choice.

Local attractions

If you make it out of the site, you'll find Staunton to be a welcoming village with one of the best foodie pubs in the area. The White Horse is 5* reviewed on Trip Advisor and stands out for its ambiance, amazing dishes and delicious vegetarian fayre. Staunton is most famous for its forest trails, and you’ll find abundant footpaths from the house. This includes the Wysis Way, an 88km route, and in the other direction, local loops around Stowfield Quarry. With bikes, it’s easy to access Symonds Yat and the rest of the Forest of Dean. The Wye Valley AONB is an outdoor-lovers' dream, popular not just with bikers but climbers, walkers and canoeists, too. Whatever your chosen activity, you'll find plenty of recommendations in the guest book. The historic market town of Monmouth is just a few minutes’ drive and offers two theatres and a bustling high street with many unique and independent shops. There are several good supermarkets (Lidl, Waitrose, M&S) and a leisure centre. In the other direction, picturesque Tintern is well worth a visit for its impressive Abbey, crafts centre and Old Station.
