Great spot and location. Cafe did great breakfast.

Toilet and shower block needs urgent attention. Which I believe is happening. Food a little pricey. Dog walkers poo bags found on camping spot where we were due to pitch the tent

Cafe, field (slight slope but nice short grass and not too bumpy) views, clear information, location, being able to have fires.

The loos and showers were past their best. The ladies weren’t too bad but my partner said the men’s were dirty and in a terrible state.
We would like to come back when the new shower/ toilet block is finished.

Great location. Lovely Cafe and shop. Local pubs are lovely and a short walk to train station and hiking trails.

Toilets and showers are outdated. Signs around site saying new facilities are coming soon.
Couldn’t contact site via phone and didn’t get a reply to my email.

Location was perfect and the site was clean and well kept. Staff were also really friendly and helpful. There is a small local shop for anything you need, which came in handy for hot chocolate for my son. The fire pit was also provided at a cost but made for a perfect evening gazing at the stars! 10 out 10!!

The location was awesome right at the start of the Pennine Way with the Nags Head opposite and a cafe and shop pretty much on site. Staff friendly and site not too busy

I’m not the first to mention the toilet block BUT they are open about the condition of them and the fact they are working on replacing them 👍🏻

Nice layout, organized arriving late and got sent detailed instructions on how to find our designated pitch. Staff were kind and helpful. Conveniently only 25 min drive to the start of the Kinder Loop which is what we were here for. Great views in the morning and dog friendly. Quiet time after 10pm so ideal for families and people getting up early for hikes. Pitches aren’t completely level so if you’ve got a van I recommend bringing something to level your van with (we didn’t think this far ahead and slept a little awkward). WiFi only available nearby the cafe which is away from the pitches so kept us off our phones and stopped us checking emails for our much needed break away from work.

The toilets were a bit run down, but there are signs saying the new block is expected to be completed soon. Not a huge issue as stayed in placed with worse toilets.
