Liked: Excellent site with amazing views and very clean and safe. Hosts were very friendly and helpful and available should you need them. As with the Lakes go prepared as can get very windy in a tent so plan ahead but plenty of sheltered areas should you wish. However for the hardier ones the top field looking towards Blencathra is simply stunning. Would definitely recommend and definitely go again

Liked: Great site with amazing views! Feels cozy and not crowded with very organised pitches. Bonus that we can do campfires on hired fire pits. Facilities are clean and sufficient for the stay with little park for the kids. Great spot for walkers and families wanting to venture into the lakes!

Liked: Site clean and tidy,owers very helpful booking mix up sorted out got us a pitch fir our stay, size of site not enough toilets.
Disliked: Toilets, grey water waste very difficult to empty, and waste Toilet fluid always blocking up.

Liked: This was our second time staying at Gillhead farm, and it did not disappoint!! We stayed in a tent with electric hook up. Lovely place and views of Blencathra. Not too far from ullswater lake and not too far from other attractions. Shower/toilet blocks are immaculate !! Nice hot water. Close to Penrith for Aldi and home bargains for supplies , shopping etc. would definitely recommend staying there and we will be back !!

Nice hot showers which where fairly clean for how busy the site was!
Disliked: Shower head isn't adjustable (more like a old school or swim bath shower) so did spray a bit into the area where you got changed and may not have been great angles etc.. for everyone!
