Amanda has thought of everything! Lovely campsite with gorgeous views. Nice flat well drained fields. Showers were hot and powerful and didn't go off after a few seconds (so annoying!). Lovely lounge area with sofas, tables & chairs and a TV. Massive fridge & freezer for storing supplies, microwaves, kettles etc. Also a little shop for basic supplies. Very easy to find, minutes off the A66 along good roads. We could hear road traffic but to be honest, you don't notice this after a while. Would have been nice to be able to park the car closer to our tents, but understand this would ruin the fields. Definitely would visit again, we need to climb Blencathra which we looked at every evening whilst the sun set behind it. Lovely stay, thanks, Amanda.

The location is simply breathtaking with views of the fells surrounding the site
The choice of accommodation is brilliant and varied from glamping pods to simple tent pitches
We chose to camp and our views of the fells were great
The amenities are brilliant with a communal lounge with freezer and fridge and even microwave and a big tv
With access to covered cooking stations where you can use your camping stoves undercover and washing up sinks next door food prep was great
The toilet and shower block was fresh and clean and easily accessible

Stayed in kipper cabin toilet on site could have been closer and could of supplied free logs daily instead at extra cost of 6 pounds 50pence per day ok for break could of been better dont go to local pub very expensive and poor quality food

Nice and quiet campsite, good facilities and a little shop with a good pub in walking distance which was ideal for the dogs as well

Great views we went on the back field and there was amazing views over the Lake District. Hosts were lovely and very accommodating and explained where everything is. You can purchase a fire pit and logs for £20 for the evening. 15 minute drive from Keswick and loads of walks nearby you can do.

Only slight downside was the noise from the main road. Only reason it wasn't a 5 star rating

The location of the site was easy to get to, especially when towing a caravan. A short drive to Keswick and Penrith if needed. The pitches were a good size, expecially as we have a Swift Basecamp where the awning attaches to the rear. The facilities were excellent and immaculately clean, we would definitely return to this site again. A very good communal area with a wifi connection if needed. Very good facilities for all types of needed caravan disposal points.

The electric hook up appeared to only be 6A, not an issue once we realised it was tripping, we just managed what was switched on and off, but may be an issue during cold periods when also trying to run a heater. The telephone signal is very poor or none existent, but thats not the campsites fault. The dog walking area was a little distance away from the camping and touring area, would be better if closer.
