All good apart from weather

The weather

Loved this site so much, first trip out in our 27 year old renovated VW camper and was not disappointed.
Will go again for sure.
Seeing the lambs being born on the farm was an amazing experience.

Great secluded location, easy access to local towns, quiet and tidy. Clean toilets, showers etc, very happy with our stay

Fantastic location with great views and plenty of walks for the dogs.

WiFi at our pitch site was very slow or just didn’t work at all and service is limited.

Play park.
Spacious pitch with grass field in the middle.
Farm animals - farmer allowed our 4 year old to go into the sheds to see the lambs.
River walk close by.

Being able to hear the A66.

Friendly staff, nice quiet site, good walk for the dog.

My electrical hook up cable was a little short for the pitch i had, so had to move the van right on the edge of the hard standing.

Signal was very poor.

We stayed in keep a cabin. It was truly amazing. Had a lovely log fire. Which warmed the cabin nicely had a lovely rustic feeling. With proper country music in the background to go with the theme. The cabin was provided with little axe we're we could chop our own logs. It was a great experience for the both of us. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Who's in need of get away from city life, The kids, work you name it. It is truly bless. The staff are truly amazing and very, very helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Which we are so much appreciated. The facilities on-site. Are so clean and tidy. I'm well maintained. There's a little shop on-site with all little bits and pieces. What might make your stay a little bit more comfortable? But if they don't have it, they are willing to go the extra mile to help me find it. We would like to say a massive thank you to all the stuff at Gillhead farm.

Having too go home

Fantastic site. The staff were lovely and helpful, well maintained and clean site and wonderful location. We had a lovely stay
