Facilities were excellent.

Location was excellent, 10 minute walk to the pub, pitch was great not too far to walk for water etc. the toilets are large and hot! There was a room with a tv, kettles toaster which was very much needed on a very windy cold damp morning.

The campsite is very open, we unfortunately went when it was 40mph winds, not the campsites fault at all but we had a very sleepless night! Should have picked a better pitch!

Great place, very welcoming hosts, wonderful area. The pitches we used were in the secluded area near the river - perfect for our group. Plenty of facilities around the site.

We were 'lucky' with major roadworks nearby - unfortunately, unpredictable...

Great place for camping with family. Riverside with the sound of waterfall is amazing. Hosts are very nice and helpful people. We will definitely come back here.

Lovely, clean campsite, great layout and area for the little one to play. Good local walks, short drive to keswick and Penrith.
Has a great little communal area, open cooking area for when the weather is not so great. The facilities were clean and tidy.

How tranquil the location was

Midgeys

Friendly owners/ staff. Clean, warm facilities with plenty of hot water. Quiet location on edge of Park but most places within an hour's drive away.
Great views of Blencathra & associated fells.
Easy walk from site to Great Mell Fell which gives great views for not too much effort.
My second visit in two months & will be back again a few more times this year.
Some reviews mention unclean facilities but maybe they should look at their fellow campers first before complaining. There are signs asking people to clean up after themselves & a mop & cloths are provided so there is no excuse.

Got very busy on the Friday night but it was Keswick Mountain Festival that weekend. Got back on Friday afternoon & couldn't park close to pitch due to new arrivals.
Somebody had music playing until midnight. Not too loud but still annoying when there are signs displaying quiet times. Don't see the point of going off to the countryside for peace & quiet yet still having to have music on all the time & having to talk louder to be heard.
All issues down to other people & not the site itself.

A bit of noise from the A66 but nothing some earplugs couldn’t stop.
