Nice site, lovely facilities and beautiful views.

Pitches not allocated which means neighbours decide how close to you to pitch. Think on booking in it would be better to remind people that it’s a quiet site and that music isn’t to be played - we booked for those reasons and were disappointed with someone pitching whilst we were away, they played music and seemingly didn’t realise that tents don’t have brick walls - chatting loudly into the night. I said we wouldn’t stay here again for those reasons - it was the same on our last trip here, and whilst it’s probably another one off it is a huge let down to us.

Loved this place, Amanda was really lovely and welcoming. Beautiful outlook, wonderfully clean facilities, peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely stay again but for longer than 2 nights as it was not long enough!

The site itself was lovely. The views were stunning, the facilities were good and a great play area for the children.

Sometimes the toilets weren’t cleaned for a couple of days at a time which wasn’t nice. I saw a lady fall through a rotten decking board - staff had already clocked off for the evening so no one was around to sort out the health and safety aspect of a great big hole in the walkway so we had to find a piece of wood to cover it. I don’t think the staff took any notice of the lady that was hurt either which wasn’t nice.

Amazing for our trip. 2nd year in a row we have been there and it's perfect for us as a base. Girls loved the playground aspect and space to play and explore. Facilities are nice.

Gill Head Farm is an absolute gem! The place is beautifully kept – everything is neat, tidy, and well cared for, which makes it feel so welcoming from the moment you arrive. The views are simply fantastic, with stunning scenery all around that makes it the perfect escape into nature.

The facilities are top-notch, with everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. What really made the experience extra special was discovering the hidden waterfall nearby – such a magical and peaceful spot, it felt like a secret treasure!

Overall, Gill Head Farm is a wonderful place to relax, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. Highly recommended, and I can’t wait to visit again!

Location is great, brilliant value and clean shower block!

Cars need to be in hard standing which is fine, but dodgy parking by other campers meant spaces were limited. Could do with better separation of spaces

Flat pitch. Great views. Clean toilets. Nice facilities. Communal area with fridge and freezer.

The pod was fairly spacious and amenities close by. The children enjoyed their first camping experience and made friends in the play area

The z bed was very thin therefore we didn’t sleep very well. Would bring an inflatable mattress next time

As always fabulous time - always immaculately clean and hosts are very helpful. Ideal spot to explore the Lakes and enjoy paddle boarding on the lovely Ullswater. Been several times and will keep on coming!

Very small tweak! Hand dryer in ladies not effective at all - kept having to wipe on my clothes!!
