Shower cubicles were clean.Disliked: Zero customer service on arrival. Told to just find a space.
Guests were within touching distance of each other.
Generator cut out countless times.
Toilets were not clean, puddles of water on floor, lock didn’t work.

Disliked: Kind of just have to squeeze your tent/camper in a free space between people for electric pitch. Toilet paper can be scarce

Liked: Beautiful scenery on the site and the surrounding area, easy access to Dolgellau, Barmouth and the Mawddach trail.
Disliked: Constant noise from the diesel/petrol generator that was powering the electric hook ups in yhe middle of the field, ruining the peace that campers seek.
Great basic campsite in a lovely location.

Liked: Plenty of space in the big field for tents, electric hookup if you need it. Basic and relaxed camping with the essentials provided - plenty of hot water in the showers. Friendly staff, quiet after dark and no rowdy groups. Firewood and old steel wheels are available for campfires at a reasonable cost, with matches and firelighters if you forgot to bring them.
Half an hour walk to the nearest town with a Co-Op and takeaways - closer to the Esso garage that has just had a revamp - it had both OS maps of the area and a breakfast cafe as well as all the essentials.
Great walks straight off the site and within half an hour of most things you would want to drive to in Snowdonia

Liked: We decided to camp for 1 night only and although we booked for EHU we decided to camp without to be nearer to the river. We had the 2 dogs with us and they had plenty of space on the long leads. We have camped here several times and seen many changes but the river and the views remain the same. This is a peaceful site and I've never had a bad stay here.

We don't believe that this is a fair review as our staff are all friendly and helpful (as mentioned in other reviews).
Some bookings are for multiple pitches by various family members - this might by why some seemed to be close to eachother. Other than this, guests find that a 9acre field is adequeate space (even during peak-times).
Granted, there was a slight issue with the generator (cutting out from approx. 10pm - 12am) but it was resolved as soon as a guest rang to let us know at 11:45pm). We work tiresly to keep everything running smoothly.
Again, we work hard to keep the site to the best standard possible - toilets are cleaned regularly and have double checked that the locks on all doors are working.
