Really lovely staff, always on hand to help when you need it. Lovely scenery on the site, great location and plenty of room

Toilets and showers weren’t great but for the one night we stayed they did the job and you could tell they had been cleaned.

Everybody we met on the site was friendly and helpful
We really enjoyed our stay and used it as a well positioned base to drive out every morning to points of interest on the tourist map
The site is in a lovely quiet location with access to the river but not too far from a main road and garage to get provisions easily
The toilets were always clean and the showers always hot.
Fire pits are provided and portable loo's equally spaced through out the site if you don't want to walk to the toilet block
New toilet block and facilities are being built and will be ready for 2026

We really enjoyed our stay, really great pitch with plenty of space! Amazing walks on the campsite and close too the campsite! Staff were very pleasant! The toilets were basic and some damage to the floor however were kept clean and stocked! Showers were hot with space for your items, 100% would recommend and will be back!

Lovely views and lots of space. Staff there to welcome on arrival. Great location for walks and exploring the local area. Showers nice and warm. River accessible from site nice to paddle in with a tyre swing for kids to play on.

Toilets in need of some repairs to the actual building. Big crack in the floor in one cubicle and some of the other flooring felt very spongy. Website and booking terms and conditions state no large groups, quiet from 10pm and dogs always on leads. We got back from a daytrip part way through the week to find a big group with 6 tents, gazebos etc had set up next to us. Must have been about 20 people in total. No issues with that in itself, however they had music playing until well after 11pm most nights, and a dog off lead running around the site visiting other campers nearby. No staff around when we were there to speak to so texted the number on the booking. No response and no attempt made to rectify the situation. Went over to talk to the group on the last night just after 11pm to ask them to keep it down.

Scenery, area, walks, river, showers. and availability was good at short notice, but there is a reason for that…..
I have given 2 stars as the location and scenery were fantastic.

It’s a big field with electric hook up down the middle. There are portaloo’s dotted around the perimeter but didn’t venture there.
The actual toilets are disgusting, not been cleaned in months(properly that is) No door on the gents, urinals in full view. The floor in one of the ladies has caved in
No hot water for washing hands in toilets. Hand drying facilities is a roll of loo paper.
The dishwashing facility is a sink outdoors, no cover, no light and again no hot water.
The pitches are a free for all, no demarcation, go out for the day and someone is in your spot when you get back.
There is little levelish ground
The “Elsan DisposalPoint” is a hole in the ground that stinks, with all sorts of rubbish in it.
No grey water drain point for motorhomes
The road to the site is very narrow, the hedges and trees could be trimmed back to help caravaners and motor homers.

A real shame it would not take a lot to make this a great site.

I booked for 2 nights here as never stayed here before and ended up extending my stay for 6 nights as there is so much to see and do locally! The facilities were always spotless and the views amazing! I stayed at the campsite for a chilled out day one day and enjoyed watching soooo many low flying planes overhead. There is also a river running through the site for a lovely cold water dip after a nice scenic hike, I will definitely be back

We stayed second time. First Time 18 people and 5 dogs. This time only 5 people. Both time we really enjoyed. Spotless and clean ,never seen nasty toilet or shower. Whatever time you go. Friendly staff . Well done to all🥰 Also river to enjoy your morning ice baths. But looks like Im the only one who enjoyed😂
