Nice hardstanding pitch
Clean toilets and showers although only 1 shower and toilet cubicle and 1 toilet cubicle which may not be enough if they were busy
Pub food was amazing. We had a party of 6 some had tapas and some had traditional pub food all was tasty and plentiful. Service was efficient. Had a pub quiz on which was well organised and didn't interfer with our enjoyment. Did have to pay extra for electric we did use it for heating and our bill for one night was 7.14 so not a cheap site but we will definately be back. Thanks to all the lovely staff 😀

The weather was rather questionable!

Lovely site, in a small quaint village. Short drive from a larger village. Due to the previous wet weather alot of walks locally were very boggy (need wellies), still enjoyable.
Sam welcomed us and had a very informative chat on the pub history. The pub is lovely, unfortunately the kitchen was closed on our weekend however they recommended another pub a five minute walk away. The food was wonderful and very reasonably priced. We stayed and enjoyed a few drinks instead at Charlies. There are some sweet farm animals in the paddock next the site, which call you when you walk by.
I can imagine in the summer this is an even more lovely place to stay.

Nothing to dislike.

Loved friendly staff at the site,nothing too much trouble. Had open mic night on the Friday which we thoroughly enjoyed, we was a party of ten , 5 couples , had lovely homemade food, lots, too much, to drink with free shots off the owner who joined us with his daughter at the end of night, felt very welcome and part of their community!

THE FACILITIES ARE A1+, TOILETS AND SHOWERS EXCELLENT.
WE ENJOYED A WELL EARNED DRINK IN THE CHARLIE BASSETTS PUB, THE FOOD WAS TREMENDOUS AS WERE THE PORTIONS. THERE WAS AN OPEN MIKE ON THE FRIDAY FOR BUDDING MUSICIANS TO SHOW THERE TALENTS
VERY IMPRESSED WITH OUR WEEKEND STAY.
WILL BE PLANNING A SUMMER VISIT TO EXPERIENCE THE EXTERNAL FACILITIES LATER ON IN THE YEAR.

NOTHING TO DISLIKE

Agree place to stay we thoroughly enjoyed our time walking around the area and enjoyed the hospitality of the pub, even managed to play at the open Mic night met some great people hope to be back again soon.

Only stayed 2 nights over Christmas and we wanted a quiet couple of days; which we got. Did not use the toilets etc. so sorry cannot comment.
We did however have a meal in the pub on Christmas Eve which was really nice. The staff we courteous and helpful and the food was lovely. It was dog friendly. Very busy because of the day but they looked like they coped brilliantly, and everyone looked happy. Very nice atmosphere. There was no noise from the pub at our pitch.

Certainly not the sites fault but it does annoy when other campers just let their dogs out of their van, not on a lead for a toilet and they don't watch them, so of course a few poo patches around, but again NOT blaming the site.

Liked the location and the fact there was a pub on site. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We ate there twice and had a lovely meal each time. Site was empty but there are lots of nice touches for the nicer months.

Last minute find and what a lovely find it was. We stayed in a hard standing area just behind the carpark of the pub. Quiet surroundings apart from the local owl saying hello. Had a lovely meal in the pub, huge portions and really reasonably priced, we managed to grab the last table available. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Bar staff really friendly and helpful too.
