Clean facilities, quiet well maintained area

Not much for kids to do, bar and restaurant but restricted on opening days/times

Radio was playing in the loo! Brilliant idea. Very clean. Nice on site bar and lovely takeaway food. Def get some food! Nice quiet location. Friendly staff on arrival, this makes a huge difference.

Very clean facilities on a well-kept site. Staff are very friendly, ad we enjoyed croissants and a bacon roll from the shop.

Grounds well kept. Plenty of clean showers and toilets. Quite bar on site with excellent take away food available. Quite site.

Nothing

Showers were spotless, pitches were mainly level, park was a good place for the kids, bar was reasonably priced and food was good.

Some other campers ignored campsite rules we asked about and were told to obey and no one did anything (porches in tents, BBQs on ground, cars per pitch). Very unfair when everyone pays the same price. Also weekend brought groups of 20/21 year olds who turned the site into a mini Glastonbury. Not the owners fault but something to be aware of when booking over weekends, especially with kids.

Yappy dogs barking day and night. dog owners should be on a separate field! When the site filled up it felt crowded and your view was another camper or caravan.

Lovely campsite with great clean facilities. Staff were very helpful, the bar and food were also great. Will definitely come back again.

It’s always uplifting to drive down the lane from the main road and enter this idyllic camping and caravan site. Always a friendly welcome at reception, with a range of basic provisions available to buy in the adjoining shop, or where you can order pastries for the morning.
The site is so lush and green, with beautifully tended grass and flower beds.
There is a lot of space surrounding the individual tent pitches. Lots of electric hook ups available, too.
The lake in the middle of the site is an eye-catching magnet. My 13 year old son caught his first fish here, after paying only £3 for a day’s fishing - it made his holiday.
The shower/toilet/washing up block is immaculately clean and well lit at night.
No wonder everybody staying on the site seemed so happy and friendly.
It was a wrench to leave after our third stay at this great site, but not before popping into the reception to thank the hard-working owner.

Sadly, because we were staying towards the beginning of the week, we weren’t able to benefit from Barney’s excellent weekend bar and take out food service.

Very clean, high standard facilities, the shower and toilet blocks were excellent.
Lovely onsite bar and restaurant (food was very good and catered for gluten free)
Perfect location near enough to go to Wells-next-the-Sea
Handy communal freezer facilities
Quiet site and everyone was friendly

Nothing - we will be coming back for another camping weekend
Only thing we missed was not being able to have a small camp fire in the evening
