Powered grass campsite
Liked entertainment centre and staff are great, location is also a massive bonus
Disliked We arrived on Friday morning and found the toilets and shower areas in both men and women's to be sub standard which we mentioned to reception who said they have just been cleaned. There were several showers non functional and without lighting in both areas in the men's laid a pair of underpants in one of the shower compartments and a sock in one of the women's shower. Whilst I appreciate there will be a bit of mud and grass dragged in from the field I would have presumed that regular cleaning would have at least moved some of it from the floor and walls.
When we left on Monday morning with all offending items still in the shower areas I again mentioned it to the receptionist who again said they had just been cleaned and was surprised by my comments but remained professional.
When I left I had not intended on leaving a negative comment but I feel this may be the only method of improving the facilities for other camper's at the lakeside

Liked clean facilities and good on site bar, take away and shop be warned the shop and reception close at 5 prompt.
Staff were excellent and always on hand to help when needed
Disliked pitches along the tree line are extremely muddy and never seem to dry, they are fine for caravans but a bit treacherous with a tent
we had 6 excellent days but on our final day we awoke to a campervan festival which coincided with a caravan sale, this somewhat marred our experience of a tranquil friendly site which turned into relative chaos from the gangs of kids turning off our electricity supply at every opportunity to the "chavs" who decided that they needed to see who could swear the loudest until the early hours of Friday night/Saturday morning
It would have been appreciated if we had been informed about these events as we would have left earlier

From the manager: Sorry about the issues you found with the campervan owners on your last night.
