Redruth, Cornwall, England
Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked So much!
Great central location in Cornwall so we could visit different places! We drove to Redruth and caught the train to st Ives!
Everything was clean and organised. Loved the peacefulness and proximity to the local pub. Really felt welcomed and will return.
Disliked Having to leave :(

Skylark 2 bedroom mobile home (no pets)
Liked Beautiful quiet site with lovely views.
Caravan was well equipped but gave us a sense of privacy. Our boys enjoyed making a fire outside. We would love to return with our tents one time.
We didn't go to the local beach due to time constraints but would love to come back and see that next time!
The caravan was clean and well equipped - it was also nice and toasty with the heaters too! The shower was great - better than most caravan showers. Nice and warm and good pressure.
On Sat we visited Beamish which has been on our lists for a long time... it's great! And not too far away. On Sunday we went up to seaham which was a real hidden gem!
Disliked Luckily we're used to bumpy one track roads as one of our party is Irish and one visits remote Scotland frequently... it didn't cause us any problems but if you're a nervous driver prepare yourself hehe

Moonrise microlodge
Liked A beautiful location - so peaceful and it was perfect as our friends had the other cabin!
Everything you need is there and don't bother shopping before you come, the local shop has EVERYTHING you need.
Disliked The smoke detector was positioned over the hot plate so even with a window open, I couldn't make anything without the alarm going off - but that's it really. The top cabin that our friends had had way better wifi. Ours was hit and miss. We went to theirs to make contact with home and we wanted some peace so it didn't spoil the stay.

From the manager: Thank you for your kind comments, so nice to see families enjoying our little piece of paradise. Sorry to hear the Wi-Fi wasn’t up to scratch, we have since identified the glitch and have now resolved the problem so the Wi-Fi is now tip top.

Liked Clean toilet block, Aqua park on site. Quiet site. Massive park next door.
Disliked Plum tree by pitch attracted wasps. Near a motorway so pack your ear plugs - I did so this wasn’t a huge prob for me.
