Liked The location for Blenheim palace and visiting Oxford was good. The pitch was pleasant and spacious. There were plenty of the usual facilities available for camping for the number of people including toilets, showers, washing up sinks and very hot water. They were clean enough. Dogs were very well catered for with walks including a large secure field to run off lead. It was quiet and our fellow campers were friendly and respectful. We arrived after reception was closed but were emailed with instructions where to find our pitch. The “building site” is tidy and wasn’t noisy. It looks like the site has a lot of potential and is undergoing a transition period. We didn’t miss the closed down cafe, bar and shop while this is going on. There’s an “open all hours” co-op in the village.

Disliked I wish there was still a pub open within easy walking distance. Both seem to have closed over the past couple of years. There was a whiff of drains in certain places but I expect there will be some upgrading and maintenance soon for that.

Recommend to friends Visit again

Liked Lovely friendly people who have the site who made us feel very welcome. They have taken over part way through the season and have plans to upgrade the basic facilities in the future but these were always clean and the showers were good. We could see the sea and sunsets from our pitch, It was a short walk to the sea and the coastal path. Wifi signal was fine. Good value.

Disliked Only that I didn't see any dolphins when I went looking but other visitors there had.
