Helston, Cornwall, England
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Loads of different sections gives a very peaceful feeling and shade. We got pub recommendations and the hut was open to buy croissants and coffee in the morning. Facilities clean enough. Got local recommendations :)
Disliked The local pub was walkable, as told, but it was along the road the whole time.
Also make sure you properly ring the bell when you arrive, I was too soft 🤣

From the manager: We're so glad you enjoyed our little piece of Cornwall! We hope to welcome you back sometime and next time give the bell a good whack! Don't be shy! :)
Boscastle, Cornwall, England
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Friendly welcome, fantastic views, fantastic location, right next to boscastle. Perfect place for walks.
Clean and plenty of facilities.
Disliked Very windy due to (gorgeous, exposed) location. A relatively long walk from the non-electric site to the facilities.
The road down to boscastle is VERY narrow - but that's not the campsites fault.

Rue, Somme, France
Power optional grass RV campsite
Liked Pool (don't forget that France has different rules about trunks and swim caps!), nice walks nearby, recycling, clear pitched, sufficient facilities
Disliked No soap at the toilets :( shower didn't work with the token

Falmouth, Cornwall, England
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Fantastic views, great location, breakfast cafe open in the mornings. Easy check-in via phone (working farm). Sheep!
Disliked The toilets were a bit basic. It's definitely worth bringing wind protection due to the exposed location.

Weymouth, Dorset, England
Primitive grass campsite
Liked We had a lovely welcome and free choice of spot. Unfortunately we weren't there for the weekend entertainment but there is a well stocked shop and clean facilities. Green open space with shade and peace, at the other end of the campsite plenty of space for kids to play
Disliked Unfortunately the facilities closest to us were closed the whole time we were there, which made the walk a tiny bit longer.
The road is a bit narrow and we wanted to take the bus into Weymouth but there was no footbath.
