Cossington, Leicestershire, England
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked We booked two nights at Cossiwild campsite, a little bit hard to find on the road as it's not signed posted. That being said the campsite is in beautiful surroundings with the best sunset.
This campsite is an eco friendly site with compost toilets witch were clean and well plenished, outdoor shower, which we found perfectly fine, in fact better that some of the bigger sites we have stayed on
You can pay to hire a fire pit for about £7 with plenty of fire wood from the forest, you can book the swimming pool for a hourly fee, or walk one of the many country foot paths in the nature reserve.
Harry the site owner is super friendly, chatting with all on site, he wants people to explore and enjoy the beautiful Leicestershire country side.
Best part is you don't need to pack up by 11am like most sites, you can leave when ever on the day.
Lovely pub in the village 8 minute walk, garden centre with cafe same distance.
Would we stay here again, definitely yes.
Disliked Needs a sign post outside the gate.

From the manager: Lovely to have you and enjoyed your very chilled set up. Quite right about the sign, I had one but someone nicked it, for the second time. So I'll try again. Welcome back next time.
