Liked -The stream, the trout lakes and opportunity to catch and eat! -The fire pit in each camping area. -The area, lovely countryside and atmosphere.

Liked -Really nice family feel, kids playing, happy families etc. -Great playground for all ages. -Nice warm outside swimming pool & baby pool. -Helpful staff

Disliked -(Minor) Fish and chips pretty ropey for £6.50 -(Minor) Water tap and bins not that convenient for some pitches (ours) -Road noise is quite noticeable in a tent, annoying at night.

Liked Background: We stayed in the Bell tent. Everything we needed was provided with a rare level of personal care and attention-even a little rocking horse for our baby (1.5years) in the tent! Setting: Lovely small farm. Close to Wimbleball lake. The dam is only a short distance away and makes an impressive site! Atmosphere: One of the nicest points for us was the complete lack of commercial feel that we have grown used to with coastal touring parks. There are no electric hookups (didn't miss them!), no showers (might be a concern on a long stay, but it wasn't the problem I thought it might be) and a hut with chemical toilets (very clean and well kept). I think the absence of these facilities helps maintain the lovely peaceful, welcoming, natural charm of the location.. Overall: This place makes a lovely escape. I hope it doesn't become a victim of its own charm and become like most other camp-sites! Am looking forward to our next stay :-)
