Tour the Tour de France route with Pitchup.com

Follow the Tour de France route and stay in holiday parks and campsites along the way

How to use the routeplanner

Click the map anywhere on the route to find the stage details and their dates, the nearby towns and of course the route itself; you can then click on ‘Find Out More’ for a link to the Tour de France site for a lowdown of the locale.

Clicking on the map will also bring up local campsites and holiday parks with their distance from the route, their review ratings where relevant, their types of accommodation and a photo. Click the campsite name to go to its listing page, add in the dates you want to stay, pick your accommodation and book - done! See also our Merlin attractions map.

On yer bike! Find holiday parks and campsites along the Tour de France route with our map - it's wheelie good!

We're gearing up for 2014's Tour de France by making it easy for bike fans to follow the route and have somewhere to stay nearby. Follow along in your campervan or tourer, bring the car across the Channel and stay in parks with static caravans and lodges, or be ultra committed and do the whole thing by pedal power – it’s only about 2000 miles, after all…

Click the map anywhere on the route to find the stage details and their dates, and up to ten nearby sites. Par exemple:

Stage No 1: Leeds/Harrogate. Saturday 5 July

Start off in N Yorkshire at the Grand Départ and take your pick from camping pod, hut, tourer, tent or motorhome pitches at ten nearby sites, such as a grass pitch at Spen House Camping and Caravan Park, right on the route, or a camping pod at York’s The Alders Caravan Park.

Stage No 6: Arras. Thursday 10 July

Book an electric grass pitch, camping pod or holiday home at nearby Camping la Kilienne on the edge of a 45 hectare forest and with a heated pool, solarium and Jacuzzi. Les chiens are welcome too!

Stage No 20: Périgueux. Saturday 26 July

Almost there! Go along to Paris on Monday 27 July to see the end of the race, then congratulate yourself on a successful Tour de France follow with a longer stay at one of our ten nearby sites. Lovely Camping L'Hermitage des 4 Saisons is only 13 miles from Périgueux and has holiday lodges available – and breakfast delivered to your door. C'est bon.
