Staff as helpful as they could.. location to main village..pubs .canal etc

We have used this site before early in season and enjoyed it..but in high season it is over crowded and poorly run..pitch up info tells you to find a pitch then report to reception..we did this but then told we were in wrong area and had to move..this info needs bringing up to date..staff very friendly and helpful but everything was chaotic..

Quite, nice village, large camping area, pretty location.

Showers are clean, free, but it will be nicer when the new showers are ready.

The site itself was lovely. Clean; well maintained and could see they had amazing ideas.

The only thing I would say is if you don’t like trains….. it’s a no go. Every 10/15 mins there are trains, freight trains so very long loud. Luckily my toddler loved them as he loves trains . We also felt that next to the field there was many many dogs continuously barking. Literally didn’t stop the entire time throughout the night also. Now where I understand this isn’t under the sites control, I thought it best mention it for people who are looking for a quiet break.

This campsite is fantastic. Very relaxed but well organised. Great walks from the campsite along the canal and thorugh the countryside. Couple of pubs just under 10 mintues walk from the site serving food.
Goats were fabulous and the week old kids were just delightful. The owner went and got them out of bed so we could say goodbye before we left on Sunday.
Good chats with the owner and the guys looking after the amazing birds of prey.
Handy shop and pizzas and breakfast if you wanted it but we had bought all our food with us
Definitely be back.

Very clam n peaceful environment. Toilets n shower rooms where clean. Playground is also there to keep kids entertained.

Fabulous set up- Zoe is great and really friendly and helpful, the play area is great, lots of space for the kids to run around, the pygmy goats are fantastic and the birds and falconry are awesome.

We love this campsite - our 2nd year meeting as a group of friends and ever-growing kids. There's something for everyone.....a small shop, take-away food at some points, the local pub within walking distance, dog-friendly, goats, climbing frame, now big birds! The campsite is clean and spacious - yes there are trains, and this year we were right next to the line, but it's fine if you let it be. Everyone is really friendly, the owners are relaxed and I have no doubt we'll be back again next year.

Great site, plenty of room, good showers and toilets. Nice walk by the canal, but sadly the local pub is not very welcoming, thinks its a restaurant,
