Short road is very bumpy uneven and rocky. We had to drive every time we wanted to go out. Toilets were ok ran out of hand soap . There is a mop and broom to clean up after yourself.but not everyone did so would get dirty and as others said there is only 2 toilets in each female and male which you would expect more for the amount of people that was on site. The showers were ok nice hot water very but small cubicle . Last negative is our tent is covered in sticky sap and everyone is under trees .

How simple and relaxed the site is, really good amenities all close together. Great location and the pitches are well looked after and being amongst the trees is really special.

Lovely stay at Staden Grange we had a quiet pitch with electric hookup. Facilities are clean and well stocked. Showers are £1 for 6 minutes. There is no WiFi available for tent pitches but 4G works fine. There is a lovely brewery close by and buxton is only a 10 minute drive.

The gentleman greeting us was very friendly. They were also very nice to accomodate us in a twin axle caravan, despite them usually not being allowed to stay at Staden Grange. Its not too far into Buxton, which is convenient. Therefore a 5* rating despite some negatives.

In comparison to many other sites, we did not think that Staden Grange offered good value for money. On our 'electric optional pitch', we ended up having to pay an additional £10 per night. The showers cost £1 for six minutes. It was very busy on site and the toilet and shower block struggled to accomodate the amount of people. The soap in the mens toilet was empty all weekend. Overall not a bad site, but in our opinion not special enough to charge as high as they do. The kids climbing frame was also only suitable for older kids, and we even witnessed several of them getting hurt by the slide.
