The location is pretty perfect close to several walks and only a 5-10 minute drive to keswick, they let you have campfires, they don't mind pets, pretty much whatever you want without making a disturbance, the hosts are really nice too. It's a basic pop up site which is what i like.

    Disliked:

Toilets can get a little whiffy.

Campsite owners are extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for you, all the basic amenities are there and the food stop that comes is delicious!

The campsite location is great and right next to catbells, skiddaw etc if you fancy hiking! Also so close to Derwentwater where you can take the boat across to Keswick, if not it’s only a ten minute drive.

    Disliked:

Extremely muddy boggy field, nobody’s fault as it’s purely down to the rain.

Friendly campsite in a great location with level pitches, good for a night or two in nice weather.

    Disliked:

The facilities were very basic, just temporary chemical toilets similar to a small festival or wedding that smelled very bad and weren't kept clean, there were only 4 small showers, everything got wet inside and there wasn't anywhere else to change. The bin was overflowing and no recycling available. The campsite also got extremely waterlogged when it rained. The other people at the site were loud, shouting and playing music until gone 1am and weren't told to be quiet.

Basic pop-up campsite in a beautiful location and with very kind and helpful staff. Right at the foot of Cat Bells with fantastic views of the surrounding landscape. The valley and campsite are quiet and no frills.

The picturesque location and very friendly staff.
The lady delivering the fires and logs on her quad bike was the best! So much so, upon us deciding we wanted to move to the other field she was quick to help us out and I even rode on the back of the quad bike whilst holding our 2 man partially erect tent! It was an hilarious (if somewhat dangerous) experience. She really did go above and beyond and I would definitely recommend to a friend and return again!
Honestly the views were extraordinary and for the small cost of the pitch, you really do get your monies worth!
Within walking distance of Derwent water lake where you can enjoy walks along the lake, boat rides and sit back whilst taking in the beauty of the lakes!
    Loved it, great memories made!

    Disliked:

The toilets were rather smelly! So much so, we didn’t use them unless absolutely desperate. There weren’t many toilets for the amount of campers. However, it didn’t affect our trip, just something to be aware of if clean, non smelly toilets are a deal breaker!
