Liked: Very friendly staff. Very accommodating. Although it didn't bother us, there was a bit of noise from a neighbouring pitch but staff came over to apologise. Beautiful area with so many things to do close by. Outstanding views.
Disliked: I think there were 3 separate pitch areas. My only suggestion would be to have a small toilet & shower block in each area.

Liked: This was our second visit to this campsite . It is now our most favourite place to camp when visiting the lakes.
Our daughter loves the stream that runs along side, the campsite is flat, busy enough but quiet at night are still plenty of room for the kids to kick a football around. minutes walk from a pub with views to die for. the most lovely walk to Derwent water without it being too much for little legs including a walk through the forest.
Stunning views of catbells to one side and a forest to the other.
The campsite has an ice-cream truck that visits at tea time and the family that run the site couldn't do enough to help you with whatever you need.❤️ A special shout out to their daughter who made friends with our daughter making it even more fun.❤️

Liked: Views, friendly & helpful people running the site, quiet a well managed campsite. Showers okay (depending on the time of day you used them, when my 16YO daughter went later in the day she said it was full of bugs.)
Disliked: Toilets are portaloo toilets (albeit fancy ones) which were okay night one but the second night I think the solution was changed and the smell was so bad that it was hard breathe in.

Phone signal which was a massive plus for my teenager!
Lovely, clean river runs along left side of field as you enter.
Good base for a hike up cat bells or 20 min walk down to the lake.
Clean, modern toilets and the shower block looked good although we didn't use.
Dogs and campfires allowed; hire there or bring your own.
The pub at the top of the lane isn't open until July so we will definitely be back then as it looks like a lovely place!Great stay and would definitely recommend!
