Absolutely beautiful place, great views, so clean and tidy, lovely vibe and everywhere you walk or drive you can see the attention to detail with all the landscaping.
Caravan was beautiful, clean, new, had everything we needed and more.

Thank you Abbie for using one of our pet friendly static caravans right on the cliff tops of Cardigan Bay.
Those sunsets are one we cannot shout loudly enough about, keep them secret for us or let the world know ??

Beautiful site with exposed wind issues08/25/2024

Second year running at this site - great facilities - swimming pool a massive plus, staff not as attentive/friendly this occasion - but appeared a little busier than previous year.

    Disliked:

This site suffers from the exposed coastline (also one of its draws) so considering the wind/tail end of hurricane - the site was a complete tent destroyer - not the sites fault (but they could look at hedging maybe to buffer some areas or offer area more secluded?? Further back on site?) as I state - not sites fault - but people do need to be aware and as a second year attending the wind was also heavy the previous year - not as bad but still a blustery site.

Heading out of site into the general road areas there was a distinct difference in wind force.

From the manager...

Thank you Joseph for your comments following your stay with us on one of our 4 tent pitches, the reason we do not have 20 tent pitches is our location but some of our regular tent customers still enjoy to book and stay with us.
Over the years we have tied wind breaks, tent pitches on differnet locations on the field, hedges.....the weather will always be a big decision maker when researching where to stay in a tent in the United Kingdom.
August as well always seems to be the windiest summer month.

Thank you Karen, however as much as we would like to take the praise for receiving this review we feel it may be misplaced, we do not have locks to walk to town as we are on the Wales Coast path there is a lovely walk along the clifftops to Aberystwyth, you are more than welcome to stay with us.

The view was incredible! We were right on the edge of the cliff and it was stunning to wake up to that view! Wow!
The children’s play area was really good also and entertained our 6 & 4 year old!
They also had a games room which was great on a rainy evening!
There were lots of showers and toilets so no need to wait.

    Disliked:

The shower and toilet block was outdated and not very clean.
The winds were really, really bad and there was no one checking on peoples awnings/advising us to take it down or helping us. We’ve been to friendlier sites.
It was a very big site, which is of course fine, but not what we usually like so one for us when booking really.
    WiFi is £5 a day.

From the manager...

Thank you for leaving your comments for us following your recent stay on one of our kestrel Fully Serviced grass campervan pitches.
It is good to read that all of our facilities are doing what they need to do.
We sometimes have a difficulty with leaving our customers to make their own decisions with regard to their stay with us, why would we question if you are less able than another camper when it comes to reading the weather reports or to deciding if it is time to take your awning down to prevent damage whilst the weather is a little 'coastal'
Our wardens did spend quite a long part of their time making sure the tents were checked upon and spoke to customers who were off the park to return to put their camp safe.
It is always tricky looking after a campsite especially when the weather happens without too much warning.

The wind! Very windy site which wasn’t the camps fault obviously.
Not a lot for older kids to do In

From the manager...

Thank you for leaving you comments following your recent stay on one of our Peregrine fully serviced motorhonme pitches.
Believe it or not it is not always windy at Morfa Bychan Holiday Park, global warming ? Who knows.
What things were you looking to do with your older kids ? kayaking, surfing, beach explorations, cyscle hire, mountain biking, there is a multitude of things on leaflets available in the games lounge and pretty sure if you have spoken to the staff they could have pointed to places and things to do.

Our 2nd camping trip to Morfa Bychan, did the same week in Aug in 2022. Just as nice as it was back then, lovely location, very friendly staff, great indoor/outdoor pool. People complain about the single track road in and out of the site, still never had a problem with it, just leave and arrive each day, as per the guidance and you'll be fine.
The weather really battered our tent this time, wind seemed relentless last week, next time could be a treat to one of the new static caravans for hire.

    Disliked:

Minor thing; the food truck was there every day on our first visit. this time the food truck was only there on the Sunday.

From the manager...

Thank you Alex for your second stay with us on a tent pitch, feel free to keep an eye on the bookings being available for 2025 in one of our hire caravans.
We were dissapointed at the food truck situation but things change and we are actively hoping for more days coverage in 2025
