Beautiful location. Beautiful site. Spacious pitches, you’re not crammed in at all. Very friendly, chatty and helpful owners and the other campers we met were very friendly too. Play park for kids, rope swing by river was a hit. The honesty shop is great too, fresh baked goodies! Lots of interesting places to visit nearby, ideal for walkers, lacys caves is top of the list, it’s quite a walk but definitely worth it! Pubs in nearby village are spot on. We only stayed for one night as a stopover when traveling from west coast to east coast but we will definitely be back for a longer stay. This site is a true hidden gem.

Everything, lovely staff (owners), beautiful location, well equipped site, clean and tidy facilities. Great place for children. Our daughter loved seeing the sheep!

Going home!

Excellent place to stay, plenty of room for the Grandchildren to play as they had the middle of the field, as there was plenty of space between the carvan's. The toilet were clean as were the showers could not fault the site.

Really lovely site, a very warm welcome from the owner and shown to our pitch which was in the wild flower meadow and just perfect for what we wanted. The river is lovely just a couple of minutes walk away.

Kids loved playing in the park, made a lot of friends. The site is very well looked after and the honesty shop was great and very resonable.

We had a lovely walk into Lazonby to the outdoor swimming pool which was great.

We would 100% return. A really nice few days away.

Good size plot and not too many others in the field, friendly, facilities good

Stayed here for 4 nights alongside my parents with their caravan. (4 adults, 2 children and 4 dogs total).
The pitch space was incredible. The kids were able to play without disturbing other holidaymakers and without concern for cars etc.
The site was clean and tidy and the grass is well kept. The kids and the dogs loved having the river at the bottom of the site for a paddle and we even took out kayaks down which was lovely. There were some beautiful walks from the site, the kids loved the adventure to Lacy's caves.

Quiet location, convenient for M6.

Shower facilities a bit dated

Site was quiet so we got a huge pitch in the orchard, which proved a godsend since we had to sit under a big oak tree to get some shade on the hottest day of the year. Nice play area for the grandkids, nice walks along the river. Having the fridge/freezer in the foyer of the shower block that you could put your ice blocks/ice cube packs in was a nice touch, as was the honesty shop. A good base for visiting Penrith and the Lake District. Really enjoyed our stay, hope to come back again in the future.

Large pitches, friendly staff, clean facilities, friendly atmosphere, great location.
The site is 5 minute walk from the river were we spent a lovely afternoon playing in the water.
