Lovely location and attentive owners. Nice peacefull site, everyone adhered to the 10:30 quite time, which was good.
The table football and sofa's in the playroom were good for our Children to enjoy.

The site has a communal fire pit and picnic benches etc in an area.

Our children loved playing with the farm dog and running up and down the orchards.

Days out in Torquay, Teignmouth, Paignton and the local beach were good.

Head down to the local pub down steep hill (Thatched Tavern) which was voted the best pub in Devon. Lovely place.

Only slight thing I would change (not a criticism as such) is we have stayed at a site previously were they put fake grass down on pitch locations when it was stoney ground. The pitches here would benefit from this, as they ground is quite stoney / hard. I know weather drives this, but its just what could have made a great stay that little better.
Very hard to find anything wrong with the stay though, so seems unfair saying this.

Lovely surrounding in an orchard with an amazing view. 10 minutes drive from Torquay. Friendly owner who allowed us to pick his apples. Really good self serving store on site with fresh milk and very nice ice cream. On site fridge and cool box to keep food fresh. Overall we have really enjoyed our stay

Ground more suited for camparvan than camping with lots of stones. However these can be removed by hand.

Facilities, views, the sound of the odd Apple dropping during the night.

The ground was quite stoney on the pitch and even after clearing what I could there were still several patches where I could feel sharp stones pushing up through my ground sheet. Pitch would be better suited to vans.

The farm was beautiful, fresh eggs, milk and apples. Our own toilet/shower and kitchenette. Friendly owner and farm dog. Beautiful location. Handy cooking area and bench outside our pod! So many little things were thought of! Washing up area and communal washing machine. Beaches witching 10 mins drive/walk. Would love to come back again next year. Really enjoyed our stay here. Didn’t want to leave.

Very nice area and friendly owner, lovely little extras like kettle, fridge, washing machine and line, benches where you can sit too. I came in a van and found it a bit awkward to park up with the drive away awning (space is long rather than wide, however I could have checked this prior) but we managed to work it fine, and would visit again. Very cosy and friendly setting.

The location was absolutely beautiful, fab views and all the ad hoc bits you might not find on some campsites like fridge, toaster, washing machine etc were all godsends!

My ONLY gripe with our particular pitch (Gala) was that there wasn’t really any grass, which left for red sandy soil which unfortunately made everything red (inside tent walking in, the tent is all red, and anything we put on the floor outside like bags etc)

We loved everything about our stay at Hen's Dens.
The pitches are a great size in amongst the apple trees. Clean toilets and showers, access to a washing machine.
Location is fantastic, short walk to the sweetest beach and great cafe. Jumped on the bus into Torquey for a day.
Highly recommend staying here, we hope to visit again soon.
