Shower block was clean and tidy

The field was a little muddy due to the season. There isn't much to do around there other than walking to the castle or fishing, you will need to drive to other places. Overall good stay

Site was lovely and clean, with great bathroom/shower facilities.

Lovely, clean site. Toilet block very warm and well-maintained.

There isn’t a connecting path to Castle Howard so you have to walk along the road for about a mile if you are planning on visiting which wasn’t ideal with small children

Location was nice, great for walks. Facilities were good, toilets, showers and the normal amenities. Nice lake to walk around which is next to the park.

Wi-Fi / Internet signal was awful, we struggled to get a signal but thankfully was only at the site for one night.

Great hard standing pitches in a really nice environment , water points close by , good warm facilities with great showers . And most importantly friendly staff

Low season visit: Quiet, dark skies, location , friendly staff, clean toilet and shower block, dog friendly, great lakeside walk. Great value in low season

Suspect shower / toilet facilities would not be enough in high season.
Little phone signal/ WiFi if you need it.

L'emplacement est bien grand et ombragé.
L'accueil est sympathique même si le campeur n'est pas parfaitement à l'aise avec l'anglais.

Notre emplacement était juste à côté de l'accès à la promenade le long du lac et presque tous les autres campeurs marchaient juste à côté de nous pour y aller.
Les deux emplacements proche de cette barrière d'accès gagneraient en valeur avec une simple " haie " qui délimiterait un chemin vers le lac.
