Don’t fret about sacrificing a city break for a beach holiday – at Asociación Autocaravanas Pinedo, you get both. In fact, these secure, dog-friendly hardstanding pitches are just 600 metres from Pinedo beach, all while being just eight kilometres from the centre of Valencia (which is the birthplace of paella for all you foodies and has plenty of historical sites such as a cathedral, market and silk merchants). The large, secure parking lot has 24-hour surveillance to keep eyes on your belongings while you’re out sightseeing. As the beach is only a five-minute walk away, you might return with salt in your hair (please note swimming is permitted there during the summer season only), so there are also showers and a water change area on site to sort yourself out before you retire for the evening. If you’re not yet familiar with the town of Pinedo, it has supermarkets, playgrounds, several quality restaurants and a pharmacy, so everything should be pretty convenient for your stay. The bus stop serves lines 24 and 25, which will take you into the city, perhaps to see the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, one of the 12 Treasures of Spain with interactive science exhibitions and workshops? Despite all this town and city talk, Asociación Autocaravanas Pinedo is actually within the Parc Natural de l'Albufera. There’s a bike lane that runs along the entire coast from dog-friendly Pinedo beach and deeper into the park.

From the manager: Siento mucho el mal entendido pero en la descripción lo especifica, sin sanear creo que lo es porque justamente estaba un socio pasando una desbrosadora. Es lamentable que la foto que tomaste sea de la parte que aún no se ha limpiado.

Entleerung WC in einem schmutzigen Dixi Klo ohne Wasser.
Wir sind nur geblieben, weil es ein bewachter Platz ist.
Mit leerem Frischwassertank und vollem Abwassertank abgereist-
Das überlässt man offenbar gerne anderen Stellplatzbetreibern.
Sehr schade, es gäbe mehr Potential.

Local attractions

Being based in Parc Natural de l'Albufera gives birdwatchers and fans of hiking a real advantage – there are birdwatching areas such as Tancat de la Pipa (20 minutes’ drive) scattered around the lake for those of you who want to keep an eye on feathery wildlife. Boating is also popular, as is walking along one of the six walking paths or sampling traditional eel stew or paella in El Palmar (20 minutes). Of course, Asociación Autocaravanas Pinedo is also an excellent base for seeing Valencia. You might want to browse the thousand-plus stalls in The Central Market of Valencia (20 minutes) or check out Valencia Cathedral (20 minutes) and La Lonja de la Seda (25 minutes) – the latter is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and 15th-century silk exchange. If you aren’t accompanied by a canine companion, the Playa de la Malvarrosa (15 minutes) is Valencia’s primary beach destination and windsurfing, surfing or canoeing can all be picked up there. As for anyone who’s keen to see wild animals, sharks and dolphins reside at L'Oceanogràfic (10 minutes), while Valencia Bioparc (15 minutes) tends to hyenas, giraffes, lions, and elephants across recreated landscapes such as wetlands and a baobab forest.
