Settling down on the edge of a seaside resort is a fine thing – you'll get a peaceful experience away from the busy town centre, but you'll be within easy reach of shops, places to eat and other amenities. And of course you’ll still have the beach close by, too… Such is the case with WeCamp Jávea, a 15-minute walk from the centre of Xàbia and about a similar distance from its sandy beach. The pitches here are quiet, spacious and shaded by trees, so you’ll be able to relax while you're here. And then, when you want to join in with the buzz, simply stroll (or bike) into the town centre for a good collection of shops, restaurants and historic attractions. The beach here is a long stony stretch with clear water that's great for snorkelling and swimming. And there are plenty more activities along this stretch of coast, as well – Xàbia and its neighbouring towns are full of activity centres organising things like scuba diving, boat trips, canyoning and various watersports. The area also has plenty of nice walks to do, including coastal strolls and country rambles, and there are lots of family-friendly attractions around, such as those in Benidorm (50 minutes' drive away). It's also less than half an hour's drive to Dénia, for ferries to Ibiza and the other Balearic Islands. On site, you'll have access to a play area, a bar and a tennis court as well as a good collection of essential amenities including a food shop, a launderette, showers, toilets and wifi.

Great spot! Clean washrooms & helpful staff. Some find pitches roomy, others a bit snug. Pool's a hit! Watch out for tight on-site roads; maybe use a different GPS route. Electricity's extra.

Disliked They seemed to be anti-British they made me park outside and walk to find a pitch be every Spanish vehicle was alto drive around freely. Also there hock kept tripping and had no aircon for 4days paid a mobile Motorhome Mechanic who couldn’t find any issues with my Motorhome when we move to a next site no issues at all with the hook up

Liked Beautiful site. Very clean shower and toilet blocks. Lovely large pitches - even standard sizes are spacious. Lots of trees and shade if required. Amazing swimming pool and a lovely bar/ restaurant .
Easy 10 minute walk to the beach and restaurants.

Liked Amazing campsite! We loved the HUGE shady pitches, the pool was incredible, great facilities, lovely restaurant. Site well maintained and in great location!

Disliked Pool only open 12:00-18:00
Restaurant only open 12:30-15:30.
Would have been better is the pool was 10:00-18:00 and the restaurant open a little longer.

Local attractions

Start your stay with a stroll to the centre of Xàbia – a 15-minute walk gets you to the centre of town where you can wander through the historic streets to see places like Parroquia de Sant Bertomeu and visit the Museu arqueològic i etnològic Soler Blasco before heading down to the long sandy beach for some sunbathing and a swim or paddle in the calm, shallow waters. A little further along the coast, Dénia (25 minutes’ drive) is mainly known as a ferry port for services to the Balearic Islands, but it’s also got a castle and an excellent market to visit. In between the two towns, there are several lovely walks to be done – around Cape San Antonio (15 minutes), through Montgó Natural Park (20 minutes to the visitor centre) and along the Cova Tallada trail. Look out for historic lighthouses and fortifications as you hike. For a different kind of day out, pack the kids into the car and head to Benidorm (50 minutes) where you’ll have a great choice of activities at places like Terra Mítica, Terra Natura and Aqualandia.
