As locations go, Barbana Lipizzans Camper Park has a pretty spectacular one – in all senses of the word. First of all, it’s within 15 minutes’ drive of the famed Lake Bled, mountain hikes and Slovenia’s fourth-largest city, Kranj. However, secondly, it’s also incredibly peaceful. Set on a family farm in Upper Carniola that breeds powerful Lipizzaner horses, it has a quiet, rural atmosphere. Getting here should be nice and straightforward too, as the E61 is only 500 metres away. The spacious pitches are within a five-minute walk of the Globoko village train station for days out that don’t require any driving. The village also has a bakery, shop, restaurant and access to the river Sava (frequently used as a wild swimming spot) – and once again, they’re all within five minutes’ walk of the farm. At Barbana Lipizzans Camper Park, not only will you get to see Lipizzaner horses up close, but you’re also welcome to bring your family and dogs. There are plenty of cycling and walking trails in the surrounding area, and with a 10-minute drive, it’s possible to reach the medieval town of Radovljica, which has a beekeeping museum. If you’re wondering where else you might go from the farm, it’s worth jotting down that the Austrian border is only a 20-minute drive away, Triglav National Park is 25 minutes away and Tržič (the starting point for several mountain hikes) is 15 minutes away.

Liked Sehr gepflegter Platz in schöner Lage. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich, ein kleines Highlight für unsere Tochter waren die Pferde auf dem Platz. Wir waren für zwei Nächte auf der Durchreise dort und an beiden Abenden hat der Inhaber ein Lagerfeuer gemacht. Der Badeplatz an der Save ist super auch für Kleinkinder, bisschen kalt aber das ist bei derartigen Flüssen ja üblich. Ganz besonders zu empfehlen ist das Restaurant in Globoko, es gibt nur eins also unbedingt frühst möglich reservieren!

Disliked Nur 9 von 10 weil die Grauwasserabgabe intervallmäßig gestunken hat.

Liked Die Leidenschaft / Führsorge mit der die Betreiber den Platz leben ist unglaublich. Jederzeit ist jemand erreichbar, man kann mit der Pferdekutsche fahren, abends wird eine Feuerschale angezündet. Die Anlage ist sauber und gepflegt! Angenehmer Platz mit Bestuhlung/Beschattung.
Kurzer Weg zur Bahn

Disliked Es könnte mehr WC's und Waschplätze gegeben, allerdings ist das als Camper meckern auf hohen Niveau.

Ein kleiner Spielplatz wäre auch schön

Liked Velmi tichý a plně vybavený kemp, plac pro stan rovný, travnatý, jílovité podloží s kameny v cca 15cm hloubce, kladivo a šroubovák to jist. Sociální zařízení perfektní, teplá voda vždy i při plném kempu, večer u sprch fronty, možnost vyprání a v kuchyni příprava jídla. Velký prostor pro posezení u stolů. Velmi příjemný a ochotný personál, vyjde rychle vstříc k řešení problémů. Pro stany možnost elektriky, jen mějte sebou dlouhý (min 15m) kabel. Podle parcely, zásuvky jsou jen na jedné straně plochy. Moc pěkný kemp

Disliked Neměl jsem žádné negativní zkušenosti, snad jen že druhý den prselo 😁 ale za to ten kemp nemůže.

Perhaps the most pressing question when you arrive at Barbana Lipizzans Camper Park is where to go first. Do you head towards the famed resort town of Bled (15 minutes’ drive) in the foothills of the Julian Alps, set along the glittering shores of Lake Bled? You should surely set aside an afternoon to visit 11th-century Bled Castle, the oldest castle in Slovenia, or to take the boat to the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the lake. Do you pull on a pair of hiking boots in preparation to spend a full day hiking in Triglav National Park (25 minutes)? The national park is home to the highest mountain in the Julian Alps, Mount Triglav, and also has a gorgeous glacial lake named Lake Bohinj (45 minutes). The national park isn’t the only place to go hiking in the area around Barbana Lipizzans Camper Park. Several mountain hikes begin in Tržič (15 minutes). Try out the half-day hikes to 1,634-metre-high Dobrča from Bistrica pri Tržiču (10 minutes) or 1,967-metre-high Kofce gora from Grad Neuhaus (15 minutes). For non-hiking activities like admiring old fossils, the Dovžan gorge (25 minutes) is just outside of Tržič.
