You might not be too lean after a stay at this Pisa site, as the nosh at its restaurant is reportedly mighty moreish… Try Tuscan cuisine or pizzas here, or bag local products among the wide range of essentials at the well-stocked shop: tighter trews upon returning home is sort of a must on any Italian holiday. Camping Torre Pendente is a family-friendly park in a straight-up excellent setting, between the Piazza dei Miracoli where the famous tower leans, and the landscapes and wildlife of the Natural Park of Migliarino, San Rossore and Massaciuccoli. The old city walls of Lucca are a few kilometres away. Facilities include a pool for cooling off on hot days, a hot tub for warming up in afterwards, a café for good strong Italian coffee, and a communal area with kitchenette and fridge. The amenities blocks have showers with free hot water.

Liked: Kurzer Weg zum schiefen Turm von pisa

Disliked: Plätze sehr dreckig matschig nass
Toiletten alt Wasser läuft dauernd, dreckig teilweise schon eine Zumutung
Einfach ein altes waschhaus das einmal ordentlich renoviert gehört da der Preis es ja schon ist Flugverkehrslärm am Morgen

Liked: The locatiom was great, easy walking distance to Pisa and train station .

Swimming pool was nice.

Disliked: The site was not maintained, grass was long and rubbish never picked up.

The shop on site was shockingly over priced

Liked: City nah, günstig für 2 Nächte wäre es ok. Wer aber im Voraus bucht muss länger stehen.

Disliked: Sehr laut, daher keine Erholung, Toiletten sehr schmutzig, Shop sehr teuer, Brot war sogar ohne Salz. Pool Nutzung nur mit Badekappe.

Liked: Très bien situé par rapport au lieux touristique ( La Tour de Pise) 15 minutes à pied. Très bien situé pour toutes les commodités ( Alimentaire, restauration, animation, visites touristiques,..) En face du camping il y a un champ en accès libre pour faire courir les chiens. Piscine familiale. Sanitaire très propre.

Disliked: Emplacement sous bâche un peu trop petit mais convenable.

Liked: We loved everything about this site starting with the staff who were all really nice and helpful,the pool was lovely there is a cafe for hot cold drinks snacks not great ,the toilet and shower block were immaculate and cleaned regularly also there are a couple of washing machines,the pitches were a good size and kept clean.They have lovely bungalows to rent ,great holiday for families cheap flight to Pisa ,5 minutes in the taxi from airport, our daughter and granddaughter joined us for a few days ,they loved it ,go to Lydl which is 5 minutes away before you come ,the shop only has basics. Don't forget to try the restaurant it was lovely.

Disliked: Absolutely nothing

Local attractions

Camping Torre Pendente is in Pisa, within walking distance of the famed and wonky tower as well as other Pisa highlights like the Baptistry, in the same piazza as the tower and where amateur but tuneful singers belt out songs daily. A few kilometres from Pisa is the city of Lucca, the ancient place mainly famed for its fully intact Renaissance-era city walls. Wander along these, the piazzas and the narrow streets of the Old Town before a visit to the Ducal Palace and the handsome gardens of the Palazzo Pfanner or Villa Bottini, and then sup an aperitif at a bar in Piazza Anfiteatro. Getting to the rest of Tuscany is easy enough from here, whether it's to the hills and wineries or cities like Florence and Siena. If you prefer sunbathing and sea, drive down the coast to Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi, both well under ten kilometres away.
