It's free, quick and easy!
- Site 400 metres from a beach backed by a Mediterranean pine forest
- A 15-minute drive from Ravenna and 20 to Mirabeach theme park
- Shop, restaurant, sports facilities, TV room, pools and entertainment
On the road to Ravenna for a swish stay near some sand? Then make Adriano Camping Village, around a 400-metre walk from a beach on a 35-kilometre strip of northern Italian coastline dotted with pristine dunes and shaded Mediterranean pine forests, your end destination.
If you’re not up for the five-minute wander down to the coast, settle in on a sundeck by one of the swimming pools at the park and ponder the pursuits you might pick from later. Perhaps it’ll be a stroll to the sports courts for volleyball, boules and basketball? Or maybe you should check out some of the daytime entertainment organised by site staff?
For guests more into the idea of quiet time, a TV room is on site for cosying up with the remote control. And when you fancy getting out and about in Emilia-Romagna, mountain biking and walking trails are within easy reach and the park's a 15-minute drive from the stunning mosaic-covered churches of Ravenna.
To fill up on food in between all the activities (yes, lolling about in a hammock definitely counts as an activity…), Adriano Camping Village has a restaurant serving traditional Italian food, along with a well-stocked shop if you’re planning on cooking your own grub.

Local attractions
The site’s a top base for setting off on excursions, being so close to the Roman mosaic-filled city of Ravenna (15 minutes’ drive). If you’re pressed for time, the best buildings of the bunch include the eight-sided Basilica di San Vitale and the sixth-century Basilica di Sant'Apollinare Nuovo.
Adriano Camping Village is also less than 25 minutes from the rides at Mirabeach theme park – great for kids – and the flamingos at Salina di Cervia, a brill area for birdwatching.
In terms of the top towns to totter around in this historic part of Italy, Comacchio (40 minutes) is famed for its series of streets intersected by lovely lagoons. This miniature Venice – as it’s often called – is in the Po Delta, a lush green area sprinkled with ancient woods and pine forests.
If you’re after another wildlife-rich region to roam around, make tracks towards the Vena del Gesso Romagnola park (an hour and 20 minutes) for jaunts among the gypsum cliffs. Or simply stay close to the site at the gorgeous beaches lining the local coastline…
