Liked Very peaceful pitch with shade. Some walking trails nearby. Plenty of hot water for washing up, showers and laundry. Small bar at reception, limited opening hours.

Disliked Pool closes between 12 and 4 just when it's the hottest part of the day and you need it. Facilities are old and need an update.

Disliked Owner bit dismissive & tried to put 2 vans on single tiny pitch, no information about facilities. Had to ask other British travellers.

Liked The pitches we were given eventually were very nice

Disliked Welcome was unfriendly and no information given about the facilities. We were told to put both camper vans on one pitch which we objected to and was then moved.
Toilet and shower facilities were disgusting. Blocked shower trays , swimming with water outside the showers, toilets were just about adequate but no toilet paper provided. washing up facilities were dirty and only cold water. No soap in the toilet.

Liked Camping "à la roots". Complètement retiré dans un petit village en pleine montagne. Atypique comme on les aime. Piscine ok. Restaurant ouvert partiellement, petit déjeuner ok. Emplacement très bien, ombragé.

Disliked Propreté des sanitaires à revoir : vraiment pas propres.

Set out on a foodie tour of the area to sample the famed balsamic vinegar in Modena (an hour and 15 minutes’ drive), tour parmesan cheese factories and eat your way round Bologna (an hour and 20 minutes), where you can take cooking classes, take eating tours and learn more about the Italian foodie scene at Fico Eataly World, billed as the world’s biggest food park. Or perhaps it’s time to temper all that eating with a bit of activity… if that’s the case, make tracks for the mountain trails of Monte Belvedere (15 minutes) or the more manageable paths of the Sassi di Roccamalatina Regional Park (40 minutes), taking in caves, woodland and little villages as you wander. If you’d like to see some of the scenery from above, take to the treetop trails at Esploraria adventure park (half an hour). Prefer to keep feet on the ground?
