Power optional grass and earth campsite

Liked Lovely pitches, great little bar and terrace, and by good timing, live music from a local band. Decent facilities, clean and tidy, with toilet seats and with piped radios music! The young lady who checked us in seems to do everything, always helpful, always smiling.. behind the bar, serving at table and even helping the cleaners in the cabins.. she worked so very hard and deserves a medal. Great for kids, decent pool and space to play.

Disliked Not a lot, slight issue getting in as there is nowhere to park with a van on the back without blocking the entrance, a minor issue. WiFi is weak and only available at tithe bar/reception, again, a minor issue really.

Power optional grass and earth campsite

Liked Was a lovely site, supermarket close by, friendly staff. Didn't use the pool. Random goat just lazing around.
Stayed at this site to go into Nantes, drove 20mins to a tram station, free parking and free public transport at the weekends, took about 20mins to get into central Nantes. Last tram back is just after 21.00

Disliked Stray kittens, felt terrible for them. So friendly but obviously not pets, so not looked after.
Both the disabled bathroom and the family/baby changing facilities were locked, not a problem for us, but was frustrating for those that needed them. The free WiFi only works at the reception area.

Liked Friendly staff. Plays the radio in the shower/ toilet block. Clean.

Disliked Busy site for us. Probably good for families. Our dogs weren’t keen on the random black goat that just wanders around the campsite.

Local attractions

Fably ancient Nantes, once the capital of ancient Brittany (and felt by many still to be its true capital) is an excellent option for a few day trips, to its famed Château des Ducs de Bretagne with the city's history museum; the Cathedral of St Peter and St Paul; the medieval Bouffay district and the museum of Jules Verne. (If your tastes are more modern, stroll among the swish boutiques of the nineteenth century Passage Pommeraye.) The Camping La Pindière team insists that the city's Jardin des Plantes de Nantes is also a must, the botanical gardens and tropical greenhouses spread over seven hectares and covering three centuries of botany built up by sailors bringing seeds from all over the globe. Animal fans have much to keep them entertained in the region too, such as the underwater tunnel at the huge aquarium Océarium in Croisic, the Planète Sauvage animal park in Port-Saint-Père, La Boissière du Doré zoo and the Sealand Aquarium in Noirmoutier.
