Sort a stay forthwith at Camping La Ferme de Lann Hoëdic, less than a kilometre from the beach of Le Roaliguen, in a green and spacious countryside setting surrounded by hiking and cycling trails. The staff's aim of the game here is to provide a place where guests can have a comfy stay on a friendly site in a calm natural setting. Have a peaceful time by hiring a bike from the team and pedalling off to explore the region and its islands, and enjoy a relaxing meal in the restaurant on your return. La Ferme de Lann Hoëdic is on the Rhuys peninsula, between the Atlantic coast and the town of Sarzeau two and a half kilometres away. It's 800 metres from the beach and its associated sailing school, and a short drive from Aquagolfe waterpark, Penvins aerial adventure park, and sea kayaking at Kerners and Logeo. Carnac is less than 50 minutes' drive away. A mini farm is on site to entertain the kids, along with a pétanque court and a big play area with giant jumping pillow. Grownups can sink into sessions at the spa or settle down for a massage, all the better to be good as new for a spot of windsurfing or a bike tour the next day…

Liked A lovely, tidy and well organised site, in a great location about 15 minutes walk from the beach.

We had a lovely welcome from the team , who were happy to let us stroll around the site to find a pitch that we liked.

The pitches are large with some good tree shade. The facilities were clean and well maintained.

There were many trails around the site for walking, running and cycling which was great.

Disliked The only small comment is that you need to provide your own toilet paper. This is not an issue because we have plenty in the van but it would have been nice to have know this before my first visit.

Liked Peaceful, calm and very friendly site- just off the GR34.
We would love to visit again.
Lovely staff- all polite and helpful and very welcoming
Delicious savoury and sweet crepes in the site restaurant- our dogs looked after very well - water put out for them in advance the second night we ate there which was so thoughtful.
Lovely level walk through the woods to the Sandy and Rocky beach in 15 mins (and GR34 )
Green credentials are great with recycling and composting available, and we loved the goats and chickens
Hot water for washing up
Great bread each morning - good variety- loved the wholemeal loaf especially
Bikes for hire
Great location to explore the Rhuys Penninsular

Disliked There are a couple of reasons I didn’t give a 10:
The shower was a bit bracing this morning as there was a problem with the boiler- but they were working hard to fix it as soon as they knew there was an issue.
Could really do with more than one hairdryer- when I finished my shower the only one available was bring used for a very long time so I had wet hair and no style!!
Showers and toilets clean but felt moths and bugs around the lights need to be cleaned. Bring your own toilet paper as none in toilet block as in many French sites.

Liked Good location for cycling & touring the coves. Walking distance to a nice beach.

Disliked Showers Luke warm at best. Push button activated only lasted 5-6 seconds at most & were cool when re-activated

Wi-Fi only available to use near reception and if the receptionist was there to give you the code. Only 15 minutes allowed as part of the campsite fee or more available at additional cost.

Washing up water was only warm at best

Liked The big space for motorhomes. The friendliness of all the staff in reception. They were all so helpful and kind. The cleanliness of the facilities. The bird song was incredible. Blackbirds, finches, Thrushes, cukoo,Robin, Fly Catchers, green finch, pidgeon, and some we didnt recognise! The walk to the beach, and the ease of getting to a supermarket. Not to far to get to Domaine de Suscinio, which was lovely as they had a jousting re enactment there for the day. Very pretty well kept site and would definately recommend...

Local attractions

This is a very pretty part of southern Brittany, and the site is well placed for boat trips around the Gulf of Morbihan, perhaps to Belle-Île-en-Mer and Houat. On land, one of the most famed sights on the peninsula is the Château de Suscinio, a medieval castle that was home during the Wars of the Roses to the future English Henry 7. Guided tours of the château are available in English during the summer months, and there's a wildlife-rich marsh area for the birdwatchers too. For family fun and highly amusing days, have a splash around the Aquagolfe waterpark, 20 minutes' drive from the site at Surzur. There's also the Celt'Aventures aerial adventure park of Penvins, within 15 minutes' drive, where the brave can take forest and treetop trails among fairies, elves and druids. The Saint-Gildas-de-Rhuys golf course is 15 minutes' drive away.
