Why try Ty Nadan, near the town of Locunolé in Brittany's fab Finistère? There are oh-so many reasons you might want to stay here, from the pretty riverside setting on a 60-acre estate to the many activities laid on for guests for an additional fee (check what's happening when you arrive), such as horse riding, river canoe trips, archery, paintballing and trout and salmon fishing. To add to all of that, beaches are half an hour's drive away.
Swimming pools are another highlight here. For indoor swims, head to the heated indoor pool complex, where there is a paddling pool for the kids to trot around, summer aqua gym sessions and a 60-metre waterslide ending in a cave. Outdoors, there's another heated pool, five (yes, five) waterslides and a second kids' paddling pool.
End your swims at the hydrotherapy pool, Jacuzzi and spa or satisfy your appetite at the on-site Ty Nadan restaurant, which has a splendid terrace where guests can eat alfresco. Food and drinks are never too far away, with a takeaway, grocery shop and bar on site; barbecues are also welcome, so cooking for yourself is another fine prospect.
And then… there's yet more. Other leisure facilities at Camping Ty Nadan include billiards and mountain bike hire (both for an additional fee), a pétanque court and table tennis. Bring your own sports kit for the football field and the volleyball, basketball and indoor badminton courts too. Covering the practical side of things are showers, toilets, a launderette and – available for an additional fee – a safe at reception.

A great site for families, loads for children to do. Staff were great.

Liked Good sized pitches
Disliked Toilet block near to our pitch only had 3 showers for ladies, which quite often the men used as there’s weren’t great! The water flow from one of them was poor, water ran down the wall rather than spraying out. I usually showered later in the evening when it was cooler and quieter, but you had to be quick as lights went off automatically (lights were activated by persons entering the facility) it was very dark as it happened to me! I had to grab my towel and come out of shower, find way back to entrance to activate light, not pleasant.

Local attractions
If you ever do manage to stagger off site, beaches, watersports, hiking and biking all await. The coast, including beaches like Plage du Loc'h and Plage de Bellangenet, is a half an hour's drive away from the site.
And then… some peaceful urban sightseeing? The handsome town of Quimperlé (15 minutes' drive), at the crossroads of the Isole, Ellé and Laïta valleys, has small medieval streets to wander, an upper and lower town, the Maison des Archers (archers' house) and Abbaye de Sainte-Croix. Or there's the 14th-century walled town of Concarneau (45 minutes), home to a fishing museum and the Fête des Filets Bleu (Blue Fishing Nets Festival).
Also take a trip to Quimper (50 minutes). A scenic Old Town is here to wander, along with its 13th-century cathedral, the shopping area of Rue Kéréon and museums.
One more local place you might want to visit is Roches du Diable (Devil's Rocks), 15 minutes' drive from the site. Experienced canoeists can be seen navigating the rapids here; the area also hosts an annual international canoeing competition.
