It’s all about relaxing in peaceful surroundings at Camping Kerbave, just outside the little Brittany village of Plouzélambre. This attractive site is focused on nature rather than noisy activities, making it a wonderful location for some quiet chillout time in lovely green surroundings.
There may be no playground, pool or organised kids’ activities at this site, but there should still be plenty for the youngsters to do – perhaps playing in the sandbox, looking out for birds and bugs in the forest or heading to the stream for a cool paddle in the water.
Pitches here are set among gardens full of native plants, giving guests a real sense of being immersed in local nature. There’s plenty of space and a laidback atmosphere, so you’ll be welcome to set up an awning, gazebo and outdoor table, and get your barbecue going for a lovely evening of alfresco cookery. Please note, however, that dogs are not permitted at this site.
As befits a nature-focused site, the facilities here are on the simple side, but with all the essentials covered – you’ll have access to wifi and bathrooms with showers and toilets (including wheelchair-accessible facilities). There’s also a communal covered dining area in the camping field, and a bread ordering service that can sort you out with fresh croissants for breakfast.
This is a countryside site, but it’s not far from the coast – in fact, it will only take you about 10 minutes to drive to the nearest beach and the stunning scenery of the Pink Granite Coast.

Local attractions
Taking it easy is the order of the day around here – ask owners Just and Janna for their local recommendations and they’ll point you towards cute little villages to wander around, brocantes (flea markets and antique shops) to poke about in, and quiet trails for a taste of the countryside. Places like Château de Rosanbo and La Combe aux Ânes (both 10 minutes’ drive) may also feature on your list of places to go.
Up at the coast, there are some spectacular walks around places like Le Grand Rocher (10 minutes) and the rocks at Perros-Guirec (half an hour). For beach time, Plage de Porz Mabo (25 minutes) and Plage de Tresmeur (half an hour) are a couple of the favourites. And don’t miss a trip to Plestin-les-Grèves (15 minutes), where the Temple Gallo-romain de Coz Ilis sits right above the beach.
For other days out, wander among the half-timbered houses of Lannion (15 minutes) or step back in time at Village Gaulois (25 minutes). On damp days, plot a course instead to Le Radôme - Cité des Télécoms and Planetarium De Bretagne (both 25 minutes).
