For starters, just look at that peaceful green space. And you'll probably want to hear about the on-site fishing and rather fabulous locale of this Lower Normandy and Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel site too: it's close to Mont Saint-Michel and its famed monastery, the sandy beaches of Manche, the coastal resort and gardens of Granville, and boat trips to the lovely little islands of Chausey… how well placed you'll be. Set on 12 acres of space a few kilometres from Saint-Pair-sur-Mer, Château de Lez-Eaux welcomes families and groups to a friendly, well-appointed and relaxing site. The site is family-run, with stacks to do for all ages among its amiable atmosphere: if your littlies don't fancy the summer kids' club, they can learn to cast off at the handsome fishing pond or expend any extra energy at the tennis and pétanque courts, play area and games room. For time by the water, the site has a heated outdoor pool (open from mid May to the beginning of September) with waterslides and a hot tub. There's also an indoor pool open from the beginning of April to the beginning of September. Much time should of course be spent lounging around the pretty sundeck, or perhaps venturing around the grounds by foot or pedal for gentle and secluded hours… A bar and restaurant are on site to keep you all fuelled up: there's a takeaway with different daily specials and you can bag fresh bread and pastries along with other groceries at the site shop. Tuesday evenings in high season see a visiting market arrive to sell fresh local produce.

Liked Pool - great fun, we used it everyday
Kids club - so nice for the kids to meet others and have a break too.
Family vibe - it was quiet at night, lots of entertainment around and generally felt safe.
Shop was useful sand staff were helpful.

Disliked Size of the plots varied and we were given a small space with a hill/drop one side, that only just fit our tent and car, very little space for the table/chairs etc.
Walk to the toilets/showers from the plot was quite far.

Liked The pitch size was good and the amenities were plentiful. If you have kids there is so much to do. The bar terrace area is very nice, we never struggled to get a table and the takeaway serving pizzas and burgers etc was always busy but we didnt have to wait long for our order on the one night we ate there. The staff are pleasant and friendly and spoke excellent English.

Disliked The toilets and showers were clean and we never had to wait to use them but they could do with being modernised. They also need more hooks for hanging towels and clothes. Whilst our pitch was large it was on a slope so we had some issues with water running into our tent during some heavy rain. Didn’t pay for WiFi as it wasn’t needed but it was very limited.

Liked Wonderful place, wonderful location, one of the best camp sites I’ve been to. Little one loved it.
Pool was excellent, snack bar was perfect for what was needed as you could tell by the number of people using it. On site shop had just what you needed.
Could not ask for more.

Liked Loved this site, pitches flat and spacious. Facilities very clean. Lovely pools indoor and out . Would be fabulous for family with all age children, our son is Downs Syndrome in his 30’s and loved the slides. Lots of things for children and have recommended to family members already 😀 Nice to have a shop , take away food and bar also .

Disliked Children playing football behind my vehicle when there’s a area designated for them

Pitch allocated to me was not acceptable covered by huge tree. I was offered an alternative but that was not acceptable either. There were acceptable alternatives but were not available to me because they weren’t allocated to Pitch up bookings

However the staff were very helpful, professional and apologetic

Liked This was a great site that was run to a very high standard . Great staff lots on offer in the way of outdoor and indoor swimming pools with slides fishing on site there was also table tennis and the was a bouncy castle for the little ones.

Château de Lez-Eaux's setting should sort you out for whichever flavour of Normandy holiday you're after; if you seek yet more northern France adventures, it's about an hour and 15 minutes' drive to Saint-Malo and the Brittany coast too. The closest sandy beach is about four kilometres away, at the park's local town of Saint-Pair-sur-Mer. Begin your Normandy wanderings with some time at the surrounding Mont Saint-Michel Bay or Baie du mont Saint-Michel, between Brittany and the Normandy peninsula of Cotentin, and a setting so splendid it's a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Birdwatching and seal spotting are popular picks around these waters, as is a trip to the world-famed Mont Saint-Michel (40 minutes' drive) island and its monastery. Mont Saint-Michel is reachable at low tide from Granville (15 minutes), well worth a day or two in itself for its wide golden sandy beach, its art deco casino and, for fashionistas, the gardens and the 19th-century Villa les Rhumbs where Christian Dior and his family spent their summers.
